MMORPG.com City of Heroes Correspondent Emmert Hendrick writes this guide to the Tanker's primary power sets.

In the first of these articles I'm going to investigate the Tanker Class and the power sets available to that class.

As a Tanker your role is to be first into the fight, to draw the attention of all the bad guys to you so the rest of your group can hit them without worrying about being hurt. The Tanker has the highest hit points of the standard classes in City of Heroes ( I say standard because I have not played either of the prestige classes yet). You also do a medium amount of damage. However a high amount of Hit Points is only part of the battle, there are numerous different types of damage that can, and will, be thrown your way. Luckily the Tanker's primary power set has a number of choices available to you to allow you deal with this damage.

not to mention the OP mentions lack of kb protection in one but omits it from Dark Armor. Last i checked my DA brute, scrapper, and Take all lacked KB,

other notes:

Makes a point to poitn out Psi resist missing, but never mentions DA is one of the few sets with PSI resist

What about a mention of Willpowers Dammange debuff aura if your gonan mentio nthe buff area of shield?

No mention of Stones movement penelty or the fact Granite doesn't stack?

All very excellent points!  However, my favorite thing about the article is that it has several pictures that are all of a shield tanker interspersed with the power sets.  At the very least, they should be captioned to diminish confusion.  My guess is that the author ran up a tank to level 32 in one of the sets and then is using power descriptions to give a very vague (and occasionally incorrect) feeling for the other sets.

Is the author paid for writing this stuff? Because any veteran player could write you better set descriptions in five minutes. Very disappointing article.
