I love it... NCSOFT will do everhthing they can to STOP BOTS and the like here in the US! Yet all you have to to is look at ALL their other MMO's .. yeah sure AION will get all their attion.  they use GAMEGUARD.  This is why you will see just as many bots here as there.. lol its NOT NCSOFT..no its just china.. Water - big deal. Usually you drown yourself if you stand in the water so... big deal.
Flying - it's more of a new type of aerial combat rather than means of transportation. Sure it sux that you have to run a lot from time to time but again - it's not that big deal.
Leveling & grinding... why people always assume that their way is the RIGHT way? You don't like to grind and you like to max lvl for 2 or 3 days? Ok, but i DON'T. Do i try to say that fast leveling and 100% questing is bad thing? No. Do you say that grind is bad and slow leveling is bad? Yes. So... who's right and who's wrong? I like to have some "private time" alone with my character, to learn my char, to enjoy learning it. I'm not in a hurry, are you? What difference will it make in one year if you leveled up to max level 3 days before me? No difference at all. Not enough quests? Sure, if you like to max lvl ONLY from quests, then there are not enough. But every once in a while i get bored from the quest log always telling me where to go and what to do and i want to do whatever i want. Maybe i don't wanna deliver the fruit basket to the "X" NPC, maybe i want to slaughter the pirates near the shipwreck for hours and hours. Why would i wanna do that? Well, because i want to. Because that's what i enjoy. Because that's the way I WANT to play MY game. Besides killing 10-15 mobs which will take me the "unbearably long" 10 mins will basically give me the exact same amount of XP which the same lvl quest will do. What a discovery... But i would've gain them the way i want - by practicing my rotations and enjoying my character the way i want. And you know what... it's the right way for me to do it. I like grinding. There's nothing wrong with it.

Wow... what a shocker... just... wow. It's like... it's like... it's like in EVERY other mmo out there!!! Congratulations, you have just discovered the wheel. Or not. Tell me exactly how many mmo's you know where the max lvl zone isn't... the last zone you will see? You totally miss the concept of the Abyss but there's no point trying to discuss it. The Abyss has some more to it, not only leveling and killing mobs. Go figure...
PvP balance in mmo's is always an issue, get used to it or stop playing mmo's at all. There's no way that any game developer will be able to make a game with 8+ different classes where every class can counter the other equally. It's basically impossible. There will always be certain classes that  ave advantages against others and weaknesses against the rest. And there always will be FotM which will be strong vs anyone... until the next patch which will change the FotM and so on and so on. Again... what a shocker. Yes, we all know about the OP templars and clerics who melt faces at the tournaments, we all know about the mega ganking skills of the sorcs and rangers in the Abyss. I myself am quite enjoying my ranger in both. True, it takes me ages to kill a good templar for example but i'm not complaining. It's a fresh start and quite different feeling compared to the 3 button facerolling and 10 sec 2 shot kills in... never mind.
The game is by no means complete and it's not as easy as most of the ppl expect it to be. Only time will tell if this will succeed. So far most of the ppl who are playing it are positive about Aion's future. So am i. I don't mind if they add siege contents, castles, more centralized RvR content later on. Again - it's not like you see EVERYTHING the developers are planning for one mmo at the date of it's release. Icecrown wasn't there in 2004 you know... Content is slowly introduced. And it has to be slow. Otherwise if you get everything you want at the start, you will be stuck farming it for the next 5-6 months or more and get ultra bored until the next content.

That actually sounds good to me. I'm tired of the huge gear gaps in most PvP games. The classes have to be similar otherwise there would be even more imbalance, in my opinion. Besides, even if there were different talent trees or skill sets (edit: stigmas), as soon as players figured out which one was the "best" they may as well erase the others.

I don't get it. Every time I turn around, there's someone complaining that it is another WoW clone.

Now I look at this guy and he seems to be complaining that it is not WoW. What gives!

It can be done. It should be done. If there is a new FotM class every patch, then the developers are just being lazy.

yea. the game is just a single experience, there are lots of classes, but will see the same quest, and there are two worlds, but play similar the differences are cosmetic

but whte game is whorty our time, till it stop to be fun.  is not a world, is a themepark with a pvp endgame.
