No wonder you have problems with having problems in faith to others if  you think  AV didn't delivered the game they promised. DF would be the last MMO i think of  doing so and there are really candidates out there they fit much much more on that.

The thing is Darth THEY HAVE NOT ACTUALLY DONE IT YET!

They have PROMISED it. BIG difference! As we all should know (But you are happily ignoring) saying "Darkfall is going to be an epic game." is a lot easier for AV to do than actually making it so.

Have you bug tested the expac? Have you checked out the lagg that weather may or may not cause? Have you seen the effects of the new customizable spells? Dose the village system work as intended? All these questions and a few million more must be answered before a sensible person begins to praise the ground AV walkes on.

Your jumping the gun a little here......... Now this could be the PATCH (I refuse to call it an expansion just because AV dose so for PR purposes) that turns the game around. Brings it out of its beta state and makes it somthing close to what was origionaly intended.

But it just as easily could be the bug ridded, exploit stuffed, laggy, glitchy mess that kills the game off totally.

Well i will.  I expect from my experience with DF so far that i get not disappointed.

Nononononono you just understood wrong they meant free trial as in free ordeal not  free trial as in free test-run. The trial(s) that the game offers is / are free and plenty of them but for the actual game you must pay

If the content is accurate, be it pro or con, account age shouldn't really be relevant. Those tactics are reserved for the official forums.

For the release delay have been mentioned and announced valid reasons as they occoured.

Do you have any proof for they used subscriber money to buy  equipment  ?  How come they can launch in NA now following your logic ? Does it mean DF got thousands of new subs with the shop open 24/7 so they can effort a NA launch ?

Possible explanation, For the longest time DF Community consisted from a community not higher then 50k people and suddenly they got 300k applications.

Isnt it more true to common sense that they simply  don't trusted that hype ?  That many of those where just curious, hyped  and would not buy the game ?

Dont we see there estimation now fit ? Most hyped people from last year simply dont fit in DF and Aventurine did good not to fell to them and open up  a couple of server but wait and see and update equipment as they see fit.. How much really end up buying..the number of those who tried was overwhelming enough..

It's an 'expansion' you see!

A bit like the NA server is...

 They aren't charging anything for this expansion (read as: patch).

I think they just are of the mindset that bug fixes and corrections are called patches, and additional content being introduced is called an expansion.

I'm not so sure I disagree with the terminology.

All boils down to the execution. Who cares if you can call it a patch or not, in the long run the only thing that matters is how beneficial it will be to the game and its subscribers.

But one thing is for sure: they already promised tons of things, so they better be ready for a backlash if they have been inflating the contents of the expansion.

Funny how when all that hype was going on, the rabid fans around here were gloating, hooting, hollaring and bragging about how DF was going to be huge because of how popular it was; how it was the #1 hyped game on mmorpg.com, etc. etc... When others said it didn't mean anything, the rabid fans insisted it did and that the "trolls" and "haters" were just afraid of how well it would do. I remember such comments being made several times across several threads.

Now all of a sudden (after the fact, of course... gotta love hind-sight), it's great that AV ignored that hype. It's been pretty well-known for a while now that it was a financial issue that prevented AV from having more servers.

Does someone need to go back and copy-and-paste a post made a while back that listed every feature boasted on the site that wasn't in the game at launch? Well over half of what was on the site, and boasted by AV/Tasos did not make it into the game.

Your opinion of it as "fluff for the carebears" does not change the facts - no matter how many times you ignorantly insist it's insignificant because "they're not important to you". AV didn't create DF specifically to *your* personal requirements. It's not about what Darth does or doesn't want.  Get over yourself.

What he essentially says is: "DF is perfect for me already".  That is his last line of defence, and yes that being an opinion cannot be proven wrong.  Which means, everything else he says is wrong, he knows its wrong and he is falling back to his line line of defence.

Fair enough where Darth is concerned.

However, when I (and I suspect certain others here) post responses to folks like him, it's not necessarily for their benefit... But for others whom might come across their posts, see what they say and not know how much of what they say is spin and/or flat out lies.

*We* know how full of it he is... Others won't necessarily know, however, and it irks me when I see people being willfully deceptive or dishonest.
