I wanna read people's opinion about runes of magic because I'm planning to download this game. I think it would be wise to know the pros and cons of this game from other people's opinion; especially from people who actually played this game.

Obviously the biggest pro is that it's free to download and free to play.  So you have nothing to lose by trying it out to make up your own mind.  There's good and bad with any game, so people's opinions will vary from one extreme to the other on different points.  You're really not going to know whether it's something you'll like until you actual play it.

Some people love the graphics, some people hate them.

Some people love the cash shop, some people hate it.

Some people love Frogster, some hate them.

So yeah, I'd take the feedback you get with a grain of salt.

 It's the only F2P game I've ever been able to stomach.

It's a blatant WoW ripoff.  Anyone who denies as much is...well...in denial.  But it's free.  If you want to use the cash shop (for example, to get a permanent mount) it's there.  But not required.  All you get from the cash shop are items that (essentialy) can help you level faster.  Its not like you can go in to the cash shop and buy a set of raid gear, or and Uber Sword of Death.

Quests are pretty simplistic.  Mostly gather/kill quests.  I don't see any underlying lore/story yet.  You're just tossed in to what seems to be a random land.

I like the dual class system with some shared abilities, or the ability to switch between classes at will.

Graphics = WoW, but the animations aren't as good, but they aren't too bad either.

Crafting looks INSANE.  In other words...insane to level, especially if you pick up all the crafting skills, which you can in this game.

It's easy to play, easy to pick up.  Though I haven't fully figured out the rune system...but I haven't looked at it too hard yet.

It's a mild diversion for me.  But it will never be my main mmo.  It's just not deep enough.

mm the look is very guild wars but the way the maps are made is very wow

the result is very nice ,when people arent working ,it always very crowded

1 exemple this weekend there was aion beta lol ,rom

server were crowded ,there new server lol it was full all week end

and for good reason its a nice game ,i had issue with lag

found my problem

in vista (if you use that make sure your prefectch and superfetch setting havent been altered if so search to find recommended

setting by microsoft ),i cannot stress this enough  this is the main problem i had

one site i wont mention suggested to set these setting other then recommended microsoft setting

these setting you dont want to change

same for the page file that use part of hard drive for memory

let windows resize it the way it want its there exacly for that prefetch and superfetch

that being said,rom is the best f2p game right now period .

dont know what happened but usa play it a lot heard europe is the same too

now they started closed beta for french by the way no ip block witch make this game very nice for any french speaking area of the

world

pvp (arena etc)hasnt been really introduced by frogster ,but its there in the battlefield icon close to the minimap

world pvp in the pvp server is mmm lets say passionate lol

castle fight will come soon

and frogster is gearing up for upgrade  in august then after that in september THE expension

imagine its summer when all game get very slow and rom manage to become very popular

gees this will be packed with player come september
