I'm wondering what happened to us people who signed up on the CitiesXL site for a beta key. Guess they don't care and just give sites to keys, so people who don't even care about the game get a key.

Huh? I've won one of them in the sweepstakes, received both a private message on these forums and an e-mail.

There is a list of winners there and the confirmation status on the sweepstakes page, if you don't claim them in 24 hours that already passed you lose your key to another random winner.

There will probably be more giveaways, check their forums for possible new chances to join in the CBT.

Does not mean you will get in just because you registered for beta.   They only let in so many people and they run sweepstakes to generate more traffic for the site.

 Still, it makes no sense to let people who don't even care about the game(not all of the people who got in) into the beta.

how can you tell who cares and doesnt from signing up? if you sign up yo at least cared enough to get that far

   I can understand they need more traffic to the site, pre-release promotion which is pretty much free and may make them money...

I agree with you though it does suck that people who have actually taken the trouble to register for beta because they are excited about the game and want to be involved get ignored!

Didn't we have keys for CitiesXL months back that suppsedly gave us a better chance of getting into beta?  Whatever happened to that?
