I would have to say either Lineage II or Horizons... I didn't expect anything from Lineage II so i wasn't too dissapointed... I expected a lot from Horizons and was VERY dissapointed...just a horrible blasphemous game! |

Last Chaos for me. I left the game immediately when I realized my pet needs to eat ore every hour . |

If you have fun playing WoW consistently then you are beyond hope already.
WoW wasn't the worst MMO I've ever played. All the F2P games that try to copy WoW exactly were worse. |

AoC was the worst big commercial game I've played recently. I grew up reading REH. What a let down this POS was. |

Probably a 3 way tie for me between Shadowbane, Fury, and Pirates of the Burning Sea. |

You think WoW's community was bad? It has nothing on EverQuest. Any game that focuses on raiding, guilds or PvP end up having terrible communities. At least in WoW, guilds can't block access to content like they did in EQ. The politics and backstabbing and kill stealing and elitist attitudes in EQ were the worst I had ever experienced in any game, bar none. Besides, we all know that the larger the community, the greater the chance of meeting asshats. |

Granted, WoW is a piece of crap, but I'm really kind of tired of people bagging on the newbies. We were all newbies once, we all acted like the stupid little 12-year old idiots that we see running around in games. Most of us just don't remember it. When's the last time anyone took a newbie under their wing and taught them how to play the game, how to act, what to do and what not to do, etc? It's no wonder these people act like morons, they get absolutely no guidance and any correction they get is usually a stream of profanity. If you want people to stop acting like idiots, you need to show them what acceptable behavior actually is. Otherwise, you get what you've taught. Played: UO, EQ, WoW, DDO, SWG, AO, CoH, EvE, TR, AoC, GW, GA, lots more |

Hellgate London (should have been great), and Tabula Rasa had to be the worst for me. Another one for the list was Auto Assault. And for those who say WOW is a piece of crap ( I don't play any more mind you but enjoyed it in the early days) I would love to own a piece of crap just like it. Note: I saw someone mention God's and Heroes. I really wanted that to succeed. What a shame on that one. Conceptually it was different and had a great setting. |

I am also certainly not a Vanguard fan. Not since its early beta, anyway. You'll notice that, much in the way that many Star Wars Galaxies fans exclusively praise pre-CU, with Vanguard I (almost) exclusively praise pre-SOE. As for fun: well, yeah, what do you figure I play for? I am clearly entertained by different stimuli than you. Debating games is like debating music. You have to be aware of what is a subjective matter of taste and what can be objectively measured. If I say that a game's art style is attractive or unattractive, that is subjective; if I say that its graphics are progressive or regressive, that's objective—it's just that not everyone cares.
I do suspect that its net effect in the long run may be very positive, but its effect on the last five years, from my perspective, hasn't been. |

I gota say that Darkfall takes the cake. Horrible graphics, bugs, animations sucked, crashed constantly, took forever to develop, limited sales, 50% downtime, constantly queued for hours to get to play. Nothing beats that when it comes to shitty games. |

I know Fallen Earth has not come out yet. S it is hard to say its going to be back. When the final product is not out. Come on what is with a MMo coming out now with the graphics of a mid to late 1990s game graphics. I wanted to play the game. I have the beta i have played the beta but its horrible. I am not a graphics person. I have played WoW and allot of the free games that all have bad graphics and they are more fun then Fallen Earth. |

Well.. some people have fun playing Tic Tac Toe. Telling that people that Chess/Tabletop RPG/Videogames are a more interesting and deep fun is not a insult to these people. Still the Tic Tac Toe played take that as a insult, and feel the urge to call the "Chess/Tabletop RPG/Videogames" players something like elitist. |

My opinion is that you probably experienced the bad points of Shadowbane - there were many good points. It was a Fun game, however the lag in seiges was EPIC, also respawn points were mercilessly camped. The PvE element was also camped, but that led to some great PvP battles. I loved the player made cities and once played for 36 hours helping to defend the city. What drove me from it was the community of whining gankers, not the game itself. |

To say WoW is the worst game is just being ignorant, it did many things right to cater to its casual customers. theres a reason why they are at the top with 11+million subscribers, granted most of them will never leave wow and only came tothe MMO genre because of that game. However there will be a certain percentage that will try other mmos when they get tired of WoW. Honestly though WoW vanilla was pretty good after the buggy release but, who didn't have a buggy release. Though it did feel that most MMOs after WoW were dumbed down so much. Its not there fault alot of people tried to copy them to get those sub numbers. Back to the topic I'd have to agree with everyone that Horizons is the worst MMO I've played. |

WoW didn't ruin the genre it improved many aspects of it. All the WoW clones that came after are the games we all think are crap and I think by now developers have learnt you can't clone WoW. To me what has gotten me down is there are no "hardcore" mmorpgs anymore that cater to my needs that're being made by high nudget developers. |

WoW did do alot of things right, especially out of the gate. However, it is my opinion that by turning the main emphasis of the game into item upgrades, it transformed the community (and the communities of most games to follow) into nothing but a giant elitist loot treadmill. Hardly anything else matters to players anymore besides gear. Its really really sad. |
