Due to an error in my HTML, we are re-publishing Jason Chamberlain's 2029 article from yesterday. Turns out half of the page wasn't loading. Enjoy it again now in its full glory: MMORPG.com 2029 Correspondent Jason Chamberlain writes this introductory look at the races available in the futuristic sci-fi MMO.
Check out The Races. Cheers, |

Jesus saves.......the rest of the party takes 2D6 damage. |
LOL, Electric Elves...are they serious? That's the best they could come up with? I'm sorry, while it's theoretically possible this is will be one of the best games ever released, I won't be trying any game where one of the races are called "Electric Elves"....*again with the mad peals of laughter

I don't mean to be picky, but "rifles use the 'strafe' skill to fire a wide arc of bonus damage on multiple enemies." ??
I'm not a firearms expert but surely rifles are designed to inflict massive damage to a single target? A "wide arc of bonus damage on multiple enemies" sounds more like an SMG or even a shotgun. I'm not sure I can take this seriously if they can't even get weapon and damage types straight. |

This sounds terrible, but nice sci-fi futuristic WoW elves..... |

I won't be looking into their game for the one reason of their marketing plan that causes their players to mass post the same bullshit marketing speil all over other forums. One added reason I just saw was them calling a planet a continent. |

Reading about the dryads stun lock capability either this phrase is a typo : " although this skill has a cool down along with most other skills, by the time the stun effect is over the cool down effect is also over" or this will be the fotm class of the game at least initially. Cooldowns the same length as the effect are a disaster waiting to happen. Hopefully it was a typo by the author. |

This game is more for casual gamers as opposed to hardcore players in my opinion. There are a lot of viable options for leisurely game play including items which gather experience while you are offline, and continuous guild quests that can be completed with or without your participation.

I agree with you, from what you have told me they have been using a horrible marketing technique.
Don't forget they spelled 'Continent' wrong. I assumed it was part of that lack luster story building behind the game. |

They started to lose me with, "you wake up with amnesia", then quickly followed up and lost me when two of the three races have pointy ears, and one os called "electric elves". This is original?

Elves. A new sci-fi game with unlimited opportunities for creativity and they come up with ... elves. That is sad. |

Woohoo a new space game. They surely must be original. They surely wouldn't take fantasy races and throw them in space, such as 'Electric Elves'. /sarcasm So when Electric Elves dance to they do the electric slide? Just curious. Remind me not to try this one. |

WHARS MY SPACE ORCS? TERRANS? ZERG? PROTOSS???? OH wait, this is another crap F2P sci-fi :P -TORMENT GAMING COMMUNITY- |

Do any of the races have male versions? Or is it also stealing from Mass Effect, and doing lesbians in space? Electric Elves were easy. Bringing DRYADS to space is hard. Especially since, traditionally, Dryads were linked to a particular tree, and never left the forest. Who am I? |
