I do love Vanguard but after reading the interview yesterday and the comments on how "they addressed the bugs in the game" and so forth, it just made me laugh.  Compared to launch the game is indeed 10 fold better, but even now it's probably the buggiest p2p mmo on the market.  I could be wrong because I haven't played every p2p mmo that exists, but I've played my fair share.  It's sad too, this game could have been unbelievable in quality, but they are still trying to pick up the pieces, and that process will probably never end.

I agree it's also a night and day difference from launch.  I also agree it probably is a more buggy game than some other MMOs.  But it's also 10x more complex than LotRO, WoW, AoC or anything else out there... which in my opinion is why chasing down some of the more persistant bugs is challenging.

However, that said, every bug that has 'bugged' my particular class of Psionicist was fixed in the corse of two weeks.  There is a whole series of posts now where someone posts a bug and Silius or one of the other devs will reply with "fixed" within a day.  Defensive Mindspy works now (first time since launch).  Thought Thief stance now allows proper crits on mobs.  Dementia triggers chains, etc.

They've done the same for a number of other classes too and it's really changed the tone to a positive one.

I know that Silias takes a beating for his lack of PR skills and somewhat bothered rude responses but all that aside the guy is VERY dedicated to fixing the game and works extremely hard to be responsive and fix bugs when he can.

With the small team it is unfortunate that many times he has to punt on bugs and triage between them.   I do see him and the other devs on the forums a lot trying to fix things quickly as reported.  They have made progress and I think the next update where they focus on some of hte larger bugs that players want fixed will be a big improvement.

I might be coincidence, but ever since Thom (the previous game producer) left (or got demoted) the developers have been much more responsive on the boards and very quick to fix bugs.  I wonder if there was a chain of command where Thom had to approve changes and/or prioritize bug fixes before the developers could take action?  With Silius both Lead Developer and Producer things have been much better.
