I don't know if I dare believe my eyes but the NCsoft community team just tweeted that the English version of Aion will launch with the latest update patch 1.5.

Knite has a more complete post on Aionsource.com also explains that 1.3 stuff translated earlier was actually 1.5 updates. O.o

Woot woot for us that follow the team on Twitter :) I'm EXTREMELY excited to hear this. We're going to have an amazing release, 8 days after my birthday as well.. going to be badass.

These are the most amazing news we could receive, this game will release with better endgame than 5 year old games, there won't be anyone complaining about grind, and the character customization (both physical and skills) will be pretty balanced and good to go.

This is THE reason the game is taking so damn long to release, not because of localization or any such nonsence. This is Awsome news! I can't wait more now than ever.......I think I'm getting hives.

Wow, that's awesome. Looked over the patch notes and it sounds cool -- the idea of timed dungeons under the castle for the owners is really nice.

Seems like there will be plenty of content when the game releases.

the one thing I hate about MMOs is the time right before release.  they hype them so well, its hard to wait.  most non MMOs I only really want to get maybe, the week of their release.  MMOs I have to wait on for years, and at the end I just feel like Cartman in the Wii episode.

Pretty excited to hear the news. I honestly think with how smooth the launch is going to be, and the state of the game in 1.5 is really going to seal the deal and really push any doubt out of mind about Aion not releasing a AAA title and getting the attention it deserves. It's going to be too hard for it not to with the amount of polish the game is getting ready to launch with.

So they are going to put in a battleground. I really hope it doesn't take away from world PVP, or Abyss PVP. The one thing that killed WoW for me was the introduction of BG's. Everyone stayed in the BG's and the world was empty except those questing. I really think they could do without this.

Read the patch notes and you will see that it will not happen. 

well damn. And china will just be getting 1.2 this week or next week. We just killed china. GO NCSOFT

Very interesting, same version as Korea. Hope they keep it up with something close to simultaneous worldwide updates like GW.

Nice to see they are working on giving us the best they can, not releasing a game in "pay to beta test" stage.

Way to make my class choice even harder.
