So I have a hobbie and my hobbie is playing WOW, its great for something to get away with and I do have an 80 and one of the main healers in my raid guild, we are almost finished clearing 25 man. We raid a lot and usually the raids and what not gearing up my character has been getting between me and my GF. Today I think was the last straw when she came over and she was kissing on my neck and what not and I told her could she atleast give me 30 mins, because we were in the middle of a boss fight.

She got mad and left she said this was the last straw it was either her or the game, what do i do?

if you love her i mean really love her and see your life with her in it for ever well why the hell are you even asking this question..

when you chose to have a relationship you have to pay a price and some times that price is hard to pay but if you lose her will getting that new gear make you happy>?

if this is just a puppy love type of relations ship well even if you lose her big deal, and if you quit the game and then she is not what you want and you dump her well the game or other game will always be there right ??

i got lots of gamer friends they just learn to live with out sleep, find a guild that plays in your "gaming time zone" if you have to.

Anybody that asks for relationship help on a forum are always kids, which means it is puppy love.  Just follow my advice.  If she doesnt do it then she isnt worth it anyways.

Well the sad thing is, you know the answer to your question, but your addicted to Wow.. so

1. cut back on playing Wow, and spend RL time with your GF, or

2. Play Wow like you do, and don't expect her to be there..

I mean your ignoring a person..  a real one.. so  grow up, or break it off..

Its not fair to her any other way.

Be a man. Stop consider for a moment if whatever is really what you want. Next, consider carefully and deliberately, maybe even get out some paper, what your women's points are. Then make your own damn decision. There you go. Maybe you just got flustered from the moment and that caused you to loose your head and go to mmorpg.com and ask for advice.

If he even has to ask this question his girlfriend is buttass ugly.  Find yourself a asian girlfriend.  They do anything for you.  They wont care if you play a mmo.  Their dad prob plays it 23 hours a day farming gold anyways.

tell her you are farming to sell gold and pwoer leveling services in order to buy her an engagment ring!

Well I got 2 solutions for you one is easy, the other is rather manipulative.

1.  Come to term with your girlfriend and talk with her to respect your hobby.  However this only works if you respect her and be considerate from time to time.  Basically you are trying to come to an agreement by being honest and and open about your feelings and let her know she is the most important thing to you (If she really is I mean, other wise it just sounds fake)  Let her know WoW is an important hobby to you, and hopefully you two can work it out.

2.  Choose her and then from time to time intentionally mention WoW, then say forget it with a sad face.  Or look at your WoW poster or something similar with a melancholy unenergetic expression and sighs more in her presence.  The goal is to illicit sympathy, so if she really care about you she is likely to let you play Wow with certain conditions, which basically means from there you can try working it out. 

This method the chance of success is entirely based on acting skill, deceit, and manipulation of your girlfriends emotion and love toward you, not everyone can do this successfully.   I really more recommend #1 method just by being open and honest.  Easiest plan is the one that is less likely to go wrong after all. LOL

However, personally if its between WoW and GF i'd pick GF, because WoW is not a good enough game to get in the way of a relationship, but that is just me.  If it was my favorite game of all time, then its entirely a different story.

Its not a matter if shes ugly or not or if I am too addicted to WoW etc its the point of a hobbie and its really the only one i have.

Honestly, if you're playing so much you're ignoring your gf, it sounds like it is more than just a hobby.  I doubt you'll ever find a girl that'll be be completely happy with you ignoring her to game.  You need to make time for her if you really care, or you could spend the rest of your life alone in the basement. 

Ok, I just saw the pic.  Are you nuts? When she shows up, turn off the game and spend time with her.  Tell your online buddies you got better things to do.

It seems like you don't like this person that much, or else you wouldn't be even asking this question on this forum.  I say that you should try to find a woman who will accept your hobbies, but you should also make time for the woman.

No  I like her a lot thats why I came here to ask so i dont lose my relationship but as much as I think about her during the day I think about WoW.  I mean I even see my friends less and less.  My WoW addiction is bad and I quit before but for some reason each patch and dungeon always brings me back and addicted even more.

Then I think about wanting to be apart of the death of arthas and what not. I was a huge warcraft fan even before warcraft 3. I did not have a video game addiction back then though

Thank you, but every time i try to quit I read a  new patch that just increases my addiction, like 100 vs 100 battle grounds. :(

if it's an addiction then get selfcontrol or quit and never go back like you have to with tobacco or booze cause any thing you can't control will end up controlling you that is simple if it's a hobby then you do it in your spare time so be honest with yourself and ask  what is it a hobby or an addiction?
