http://thisisgame.com/board/view.php?id=253782&category=102&subcategory= I found this link on another board and after using a translator i was rather surprised, maybe some people remember that NCsoft announced that the Lineage 3 code got stolen. It seems they got 5 (3 got convicted) of those people and one of them leaked out that he sold the code to Square Enix.

Yeah because technology theft is unheard of, right? It's done on regular basis. Like i said it would be good if a Korean could translate it accurately, to read the full article without confusion.

It may be, but I have to agree with madeux. I mean, what's the motivation. SE has plenty of in house experience in RPG and MMO development. Why would they put themselves in that position? I'm open to ideas, just skeptical of the claim is all. I think you're right that a more direct english translation would probably be very useful in getting a better understnading of the claims and liklihood. -mklinic "There's a point I think we're missing. |

maybe the same engine but the same code would mean the same game...take unreal 3 engine...lots of games use it but the are not the same game. __________________________________ Remember the good old days when devs made games just for the sake of making a great game? I am pretty sure it's about the Engine that Lineage 3 is based on. Btw they also seem to have sold it to Bluehole Studio (the guys from Tera).
