The Fallen Earth stress test at FilePlanet is now open to non-subscribers as well. Remember, all users who participate in this test are bound by NDA.

As the second phase in our stress test through FilePlanet, we’re happy to announce that the sign-up is now open to free subscribers to IGN Network services as of 8 p.m. EST today. The promotional product keys will be distributed on a first come first served basis until remaining testing slots are filled.

If you are currently in the Fallen Earth Testing Program, your status as a tester will not change. All testers are still bound by the NDA agreement. If you just received your product key code from FilePlanet, welcome to the Testing Program. We have an awesome and welcoming community and look forward to growing our numbers and getting new feedback from stress tests as we move through the testing of the game.

Get the full announcement here.

Lol, in other words, we weren't able to get enough testers through the FilePlanet (subscription req.) exclusive. I knew that would be the case, not many people are stupid enough to pay for the "privilage" of helping to test. That they didn't have enough common-sensical foresight to see that coming doesn't bode well for the game.

Read much into things?

Moving to the next step in the stress testing process and adding more accounts is the logical thing to do. Seeing it as a failure for the game is going well overboard, IMO.

This sentence is false.

No he's probably right. The CB for FP subbers only started June 23rd. You don't take a "next step" in 3 bloody days.

So no Longswd wasn't reading into things much...he was simply reading. Give it a try.

On queue for download... I normally don't have problems with FP... Lets hope it's a fast download as usual (a bit over 1 hour - 5Gb oO)

Now a question... Where di I register the key I just received..? Can't find the option on the FE site...

Yeah, I'd say Fallout 3 lovers will probably like the game..It's not the same game..But the similarities in environment and all make it feel familiar...

Then Fallout wouldn't be your "genre" either, so why answer the question?

After 27 hours of downloading I get a corrupt archive. Way to go failplanet! This reminds me of my resolve never to subscribe to that piece of crap.

Trying again, I hope I can finish my download before they release it. :)

How about failwhinyuser?

It has to be Fileplanet's fault right? It couldn't possibly be your PC or connection could it?

Ya know, they spend a lot of money to make sure everything is copasetic and functioning to the T...

Some of you amaze me.

Note to self: If i ever make a downloader like the one Fileplanet use, add validation so if a file get corrupts, only the corrupts parts are redownloaded, not the whole file.

OMG Fileplanet is awesome how can you ever blaime fileplanet.

Wow defender of noble maiden Failplanet, have I offended you?

Another server, faster download but again same corrupt archive. It must be my PC, it must have secretly eaten up files from failplanet so I can moan on forums.

This is not the first time failplanet has problems like that. In fact it's the only download site I get problems with. Unless there are gremlins in PC making me hate noble file providers from failplanet.

I'll try again and then I give up. But offering one 5 GB file for a direct download is just plain retarted.

I've had that problem too for another fileplanet beta a while back. Just had to keep trying...

The fact that this has opened up so soon does hint that numbers were lower than expected although that also means we don't have to pay FP to beta test. Usually that's the big moan around here. Fallen Earth is looking like a niche game, let's hope Icarus can pull a CCP.

"Why are humans destined to meet those who will become important to them?"

6/28/09 7:28:11 PM#23

I have a problem...

Seems like I cant get past the "Verify to get your key" page.
Its always gives me "Invalid Code" which means it cant show me the real picture.

What should I do? tried everything I know how to. It also say that if I have problems, I can contact the support Team.
But when I press that, I get an error page, that I cant reach it.... What should I do?

Give me directions how you use to do, I may have forgotten something.

Been waiting to try Fallen Earth for so long. Would be nice to try it. =]

Thanks, IE worked just fine for me aswell. I always forget that IE use to work where Firefox dont. =P
Thanks alot for making me remember. =)
Yeah I also have my doubts of this game, but still worth a shot. Always loves the post-apoc worlds since Fallout. =)
