4.5/5 And honestly, I have no idea why I like it so much. Was never a fan of the asian style of mmo's in general, didn't think final fantasy was that great, and am typically a fps/pvp player. I decided to give this game a try and have been playing for a few days now. Almost level 60, and been having a complete blast. The PvP is fun, and this is the first game that I can truly deal with grinding in because of autobattle/autorun. Great game and great fun. |

4.5 / 5 This game is better than almost every game out including p2p games and the fighting system is great . Its not a grind all day game you have plenty of options of things to do and pve and pvp are equally great . If you have never played this game you should . |

I'd give it an honest 2 stars. That's a 40% approval rating. (Which I think is fair). This game is boring but the one thing I will say nice about it is that the game is almost playable....ALMOST! |

4/5
I really liked the traditional turned-based combat and the formation elements. Unlike most games where you just focus on gear, in Atlantica you need to come up with a strategy. One build/formation will work in certain situations, while it may fail in others. This is important especially if you dont want to spend too much. Better equipment doesn't translate into better combat. Also, since there are a few seconds between turns, it allows some time to breathe and plan. I dunno how many times I've gotten wiped in a raid in WoW, simply because I forgot a buff, or an attack because of the heat of the battle. Also found the dynamic economy interesting. That and the town ownership and nations. I haven't gotten too far into the game to scrutinize the details tho, but its always fun to see when players can affect such game elements. For the graphics and sound, I just find it at a decent level. Up to par with most new games, but nothing I haven't seen before. Same with the storyline. Typical fantasy plot. Not that its a bad thing tho. Of course there are some stuff that got on my nerves. Specifically the random loot from boxes and random stat gains from potions. Kinda gets annoying when your staff main has more dex than int. Thankfully you have 8 other characters to make-up for minor imbalances due to the random stat distribution.

I'd give it 5/5.
I know this game has flaws, IM, in-game bugs. but i think compared to many other mmos out there... I think the quirks in this game are tolerable. ^^
I love the turn based combat.. best feature |

3/5 I've played it for a long ass time and that's about the fairest rating I could give upon the game. 1) The turn-based combat is awesome, period. 2) I just sometimes like to fight on my own, rather focus on my own gear. You'd always have to upgrade mercs' gears, seeing same skillbooks for everyone to use over and over again.. It gets really old and expensive. Everyone is doing it.. Crafting the same stuff. The only difference is the undercuts.. u take it out of market, attempting to sell it, it gets undercut and repeat. Everyone is wearing the same thing, excluding the costumes which people are insanely overpricing on. That's the only negative about this game. |

Yeah the market prices suck.. but I guess that's almost the same in IRL.. if you sell something.. .somebody who wants to sell it faster just sellls it a lower price than yours. I usually tend to wait... eventually it gets sold |

When it first came out 5/5. Most awesome game I'd ever seen. Now 2/5 after 7 months of nerfs and a new campaign to stop all gameplay that doesn't invilve the use of item-mall items. Sad, the potential is still there but we'll just have to wait and see if it comes back to life of continues as it is going. |

Got a question russario.... Is AO that great 7 months ago? cuz I've also read it in the main forums of how AO was great before. I just played maybe 3-4 months ago and when I started... for me it is still a great game. one of the best mmos I've played... maybe because I personally lacked a previous greatness to compare the game now. I've heard of several ninja nerfs but not really able to notice any difference... |

I would give it a 4/5 compared to other free to play games. I would give it a 2.5/5 compared to all games on the MMO market. |

Oh the diff is like night and day. The atmosphere was awesome, the gameplay was challenging but not overpowered, the community was happy and excited. Even the item mall was fun, I had probably spent an amazing amount , like 600-800 since I had been playing (since day 1 when it opened). Then the problems began 7 months ago, some behind the scenes decision obviously. Then nerfs began about 7 months ago and only gotten worse, and I mean serious extreme nerfs. A normal player cannot advance much past 100 without a ALOT of item mall purchases now and some cannot advance much past 80.. You use to be able to buy what you needed with in-game gold, but the company decided to stop that by extremely nerfing all ways of making in-game gold. (Super drop rate nerfs on gold, boxes, items, material and a serious overpowering of higher level mobs to make you need item mall scrolls/blessing potions and uber gear). As of now, there's really only one way to make the kind of money you'd need to buy the item mall items required to function at higher levels.and thats..well..ironically, to buy from the item mall and sell it in-game to the older rich players who got that way by having played before all the nerfs..LOL So yes, for the first 6 months Atlantica was the most unique, intense and awesome game many of us had ever seen and that's why the community now is so very bad, bitter and upset. It's really went down hill, but yes I think to fully "Feel" the pain, you would have had to have played during the first 7 months to really see how it has changed. Now new players just fall in love with the apperance and gameplay and get real frustrated and upset when they find they cannot play at higher levels without spending alot of real money. Hence the loss of about 75% of the AO community now. |

Aw.. I kinda feel for you.. not in AO though.. I was like that in a different mmo. was a beta tester and when the new patches came... it was us old school players who were mostly affected in a negative way. But for me AO is still a great game though many previous nerfs which I actually dont feel cuz I was either a lowbie or not yet playing at the time the nerfs were implemented. The best thing that we can do is adapt. We can still enjoy the game if we dont go to every nerf details. Even if you feel that way... I still wish you a great gaming experience. Just play for fun... ^^ |

4/5 This mmo game is one of my favorite, specially now that there's a lot of new features in the game that was added. Some of the features you can't find it in other games... http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm138/Syreange/mysigcopy-1.jpg |

Despite the QQ from the oldies.. I do hope many people still will play this game. It's gonna suk to have all the oldschool pips to leave the games because of the nerfs. but I still hope the AO community will be alive. |
