Darkfall will open their American server on July 7th, 2009. This launch will coincide with the release of a large patch that will include many new features, new content, PvP updates, and more.

In the same announcement, Tasos has also stated a new website would be coming, including new forums. The forums will be viewable by the public, but only active subscribers will be able to post.

Well that "expansion" will sure take the sting out of buying another client to play NA!

Well at least they are holding up the character transfers until the NA server gets established. 

Is this the patch that adds fun? Will we see a limit  of 250 as to how many can buy at any given time like the Euro launch?

If you're looking to Darkfall for fun, you'll be sadly disappointed.

I'm sure subs dropped quite a bit prior to the summer season, so there wasnt much room to drop once summer actually came around.

Nice that those that bought the Euro version of the game will have to pay to transfer to the US server.

Oh well, best of luck to those guilds that want cities, having to pay twice for a terrible game is a pity.

Heh, this is no way against DF or Aventurine. But let's be real here, it's a content update and not a expansion. I have some weird feeling they are using this play on words to get people to subscribe to the server when it launches and will only be adding a small amount of things, or maybe things that where never added but mentioned. Anyways, dont mind me, back to whatever you guys were talking about.

EU server is ran by AV, NA server is ran by GNi...Id pay for experienced team running my server rather than having my server crash on me once every three hours.

Quoting him does not mean talking to him.  This is a message board, all references are to messages posted, with no specific reference as to who writes it.  After all Javac is just a handle, not a real name, not a personal I know (thanks god) and possibly not a unique handle, I bet my pants Javac is just one of many handles of that whoever.

At one point I was actuallly interested in this game. That is until they removed a lot of features and then decided to delay any US launch. At that time, I said I would not play Darkfall. Based upon the shody lauch in the first place and the aforementioned items, I have not changed my mind. I will stay as far away from Darkfall as I can. In fact, this forum is about as close to Darkfall as this writer will ever get.
