I need a break from the mainstream, overly hyped and under-delivered so-called mainstream games. I've jumped in here for the 3 trial and already, there's this feeling of comfort :) Comfort in a fresh game where your not spoon-fed character development or purpose.
Im playing at video 1440x900 or something thereabouts, and the graphics are just fine. |

I was rolling along last night, having no issues with the game-play and enjoying the newness. I just logged out after having been in for 10 minutes, dieing 2x in the vicinity of the outskirts of the starter are, asking for a res to forgo the death penalty and realized....ehhh....no population, no fun. Maybe I'll fire it up again tomorrow. |

I think you should give the game an honest chance - there are always some players around when i play - but after 10 minutes you really do not need a res, maybe after level 30 - 40 but not after 10 minutes, just kill 2 yubos in 3 seconds and you have it back.

Did a trial of this game a year back. Trial was unlimited but locked to the starter island. Got hooked on the complicity of the crafting part. Seemed to me like the old crafting in SWG preCU. The game it self had at the time alot of life in the community. Even locked to the starter island there was allways some activity going on. Graphics back then was just fine. Like a mix of GW and Everquest. The new trial is open to the full game but only for a limited time. Could not install the download for some reason tho. It is recommended to anyone tired of the sandbox wow has become and anyone who wants to try something different. Wumi - SWG - Bloodfin - Cancelled |

I died a few times on Silas, I asked for a rez once, but no one was close enough for the time left. It taught me to be more careful of running in recklessly, tactics and strategies became more important, which made the game more interesting to me :D F2P/P2P excellent thread. |

I hadn't died at all until last night when I died twice within 20 minutes. I was beating up on some ragus and got ambushed by 6 at once. I wasn't paying attention to their migration pattern, and I paid for it. And today I died twice within 15 minutes after being mauled by a couple of gingos. I charged in, started nuking away and they resisted everything I threw at them! They run faster than I do, so I couldn't run away. I'm definitely more wary now in new situations and places. I like the danger in the game. Makes it more challenging. Current: None |

You know what the problem is? If everyone keeps loggin off after 10 minutes, becasue he/she died 2 times and found no-one to rezz, there´ll never be someone to rezz you. Please people, take an example of the fine folks up there and don´t be frustrated too easily. Just give it a go and remember, it´s not like any other game you might have played before. Ryzom dares to be different, do you dare to adapt?

I'm giving it a go too. I'm tweening right now and Beau Turkey from Spouse Aggro has been thumping the table on this game for awhile. |

Tweening is my trademark saying for "in between games and I can't commit to one so I will try them all until I find THE ONE" Tweening makes it much more simple. It can be used for girlfriends, jobs etc. I'm in, Im playing as Xunxue and just getting started, I'll be on tonite =) |

I sadly only have two days left on my trial. I didn't really get to play much at all during it. Been so busy with other things. I'm thinking I may delete my characters for the name, open up another trial and continue giving it a shot. :P Or maybe I'll just front $10 for the month... :P Don't have a job, $10 is a big deal. :( |

Sometimes I answer rez calls from the other end of Atys. I just port over and try to get to the corpse in time, for the heck or the challenge of it. Of course, if the person is on Silan, I can't do squat. Once you cross over, you can't go back. It's a one way trip. A DP on Silan is nothing compared to a master's DP, because your DP is proportional to your highest level. Yet I take the chance of getting a DP to rez other people just because it gives me something to do when I'm bored and slacking off. Always try to rez other people when you're in the same region as them, because one day, you'll be the one in need of a rez and you'll be happy that someone comes and tries to get you. Show the example to others. I can assure you that it's not in vain. And... extreme rez runs can be a lot of fun. They're thrilling ! ... or I'm just crazy. --------- |

I really like this game. The thing is that there is a pretty steep learning curve if you are used to WoW, WAR, Everquest, etc. Once you get the hang of it, the game rocks
