You'll be able to install it on June 23th, reading the stuff that Fileplanet put there does wonders. |

The email I received from Fileplanet stated that we can start on tuesday. I quote out of the mail: "Gameplay begins Tuesday, June 23!"
So I'm guessing it will be midnight monday to tuesday...? And what timezone? |

Stress test already? Don't get me wrong, I'm really loving the concept of this game, but there are a lot of beta leaks out there suggesting that this baby is still in need of a LOT of work to get it up to release standard. Hope this doesn't turn into another Darkfall abortion, the last thing indy MMO dev companies need is the albatross of a disastrous launch hanging around their necks. |

EDIT: Yeah my bad, I checked Fileplanet and it does say June, not July. Guess it's just a waitin' game now. |

Most recent info: As part of an ongoing promotion with FilePlanet to increase stress testing loads, Fallen Earth will begin its stress test later today. The limited exclusive promotion to paid subscribers of IGN’s FilePlanet and Founders’ Club services is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Stay tuned to www.fallenearth.com for live updates and scheduling information for the Stress Test. For more information on how to join the Fallen Earth Stress Test, visit www.FilePlanet.com. (Note that the 7pm is US East Coast time, where the servers are. Also note it's been being pushed back all day, from 1pm to 3pm to 5pm to 6pm to 7pm (so far). Stress Test FAQ: Fallen Earth Stress Test FAQ I’m currently a tester in the Fallen Earth Closed Beta program. Will I need to sign up again? I received my product key code but I’m having trouble downloading the game. Where can I go for help? Will there be a character wipe before the stress test? Will the server hours be the same during the stress test? Where do I report bugs and feedback? Will there be any new patches during the stress test? Will there be any specially coordinated activities or playtests during this testing phase? Where can I find updates on the game and the testing program?
Notice that all testers, including the Fileplanet ones, are still under NDA, and thus not allowed to tell others they are in the beta, outside the game (obviously) and the (reputed to exist) official beta forums. Folks posting on the open Fallen Earth boards that they got a key have been getting warnings from the moderators, and threads deleted. |

This really isn't good. We basically have to pay Fileplanet in order to try this game before it releases... Once you go go whack, you'll never go back. What is this "whack", you say? Check out the links! |

Don't assume that all beta leaks are inaccurate, or driven by malice, just because they discuss legitimate or perceived problems with a title in development. Sure there's the rabid "All Beta Leakers Are Liars Who Should Be Burned At The Stake" brigade and the "It's Still Beta, Of Course There Are Problems" camp (who are usually far more correct) but to simply write off these sources of information (which are, at the moment, the only sources) is more than a little short-sighted. History has shown time and again that there's usually more than a grain of truth in such reports. Guess those who buy into the Fileplanet 'beta' will see for themselves. |
