Yes, you can now chose between broken raiding or broken pvp. Back in 2005/2006 and before they failed with that try of a ridiculous arena-esport, at least one could tell one class from another.

I agree with Blizzard's choice to change how arena works. Two versus two arena is about as balanced as dueling outside of a major city. This bracket is always dominated by an overpowered combination that powers through the competition with little skill required. Druid Deathknight anyone? How about DK/Paladin? Blizzard has stated many times that they should never have provided a 2v2 bracket and instead made a 4v4 or just had 3v3 and 5v5. |

QQ. You don't have to work hard for things anymore. Oh my. Raiding is now screwed, and so is PVP. Since Tigole left this game is going to hell in a handbasket faster than anything you've ever seen. I mean all the new armor looks the same for ALL classes. All of the plate wearers are the same, cloth, etc.

The best I can tell, many people are excited about the new raids and new PVP areas in 3.2 and are excited about the patch and changes in general. Many armor sets have always looked the same, going back a while. There may be more similarity now but I don't think this alone is a sign that the game is going to hell. Just curious because so many people want to come into these forums and say WOW sucks or WOW is crap now but never, ever offer any reasons. And the minute WOW players go into any other forums and question that game and offer reasons why they don't like it, they are called newb and told to go back to WOW. A little hypocritical don't ya think? |

I must say I laughed extremly hard reading this change. They need to just remove pvp from WoW. They will never be able to balance it right. WoW is made for pve, and they keep screwing that up to try to fix pvp. But don't worry, I'm sure Blizzard will follow their ways and remove this because of all the cry babies. |

i dont paticulary like warcraft anymore but if they are moving the emphasis away from 2 vs 2 so much the better . the only thing i would say is i would go one further and ban two people of the same class being in a group . to the op if you dont like it do what i did and leave warcraft . aions starting up in a few months so a lot of people with be trying that . if its as good as some people say it is theres going to be a lot of people from wow moving games . if the trolls are right it ll be a niche game . thing is neither flamer or troll has seen beyond level 20 unless they ve played on an asian server in which case they ve not seen the western version of it and very unlikly understood the language . |

It's not just class balance. They are intentionally trying to shift people to the larger arena teams for a very basic and simple technical reason. You know those "additional instances are unable to be spawned" message that is becoming rampant whenever you attempt to go into a dungeon. Well Arena's are instances. One of the dumbest things they did (which it took them awile to realize) was to allow for the 4 player (2v2) arena instances as it tremendously boosted the instance server load while catering to exactly the same number of simulataneous players. They did limit the number of 2v2 instances that can be active at once awile back (remember when there were such long 2v2 queues?) But even with that the 2v2's are still sucking down more hardware horsepower then was originally estimated and planned for. And certainly far more server resources then the size of their active user base would normally warrant. So they want people in the larger team arena's for a few strong reasons. Easier to balance, longer better fights, and better use of finate hardware resouces that are nearing the upper end of their scaleability. |

You know what, that and all other similar minor nuisances that crop up when some new feature is introduced makes me think how much better all of that is going to work in the next MMO with all the experience from constant fixing going on in WoW. /drool
