If negative comments aren't constructive and serve to fuel a flame war then I'd expect them to lock the threads. Your opinion about the contents of said threads is entirely subjective and not shared by everyone which makes them subjective. Also, you do not have the right to expression on private property. The right is only applicable when you are on your own property, public, or government property in the United States. If someone was in my house talking like I've seen some of the flame threads on Frogster's forum you can bet your bottom dollar someone is going to be kicked out. I can guarantee you it won't be me.

Obviously you fail to read. I am talking about the PAID for (Cash shop since you are dense) gems, as is the 18 and 20 page threads on their forums. So before you go spouting off that which you know nothing about, crawl back into the gutter. I have stopped spending money on RoM because of these very gems....I have also recently quit due to the absolutely horrible customer service and lack of anything to do at 50 once every single instance has been run until your eyes bleed.

Frogster is a scam company set up to rip of people and make a quick buck. Defend them all you want. I can assure you everyone will leave with that WTF did I just spend money on feeling when they see this trash for what it is.

 I do not want to read alot so i will just say this i have to agree with some people here the company isnt very good the upgradings system is just terrible.I have never seen worse i have seen people spend hundreds or thousand(s) on this game upgrading their items to be L337 i find it disgusting.Read several posts about how the company is scamming people of their money.Yes this game deserbs the nickname runes of frustration especially since it lags horribly for me.

I agree wholeheartedly with everything you say. Yet my attempts to warn people not to get swept up in the moment and be very wary about spending in the cash shop are met with scorn and disdain by certain posters here. That's okay. I'm just hoping my efforts to warn people helps a few avoid putting good money into something they will eventually regret.

If Frogster is as disingenuous as you and I believe, I can only wonder if some of these "defenders" are actually persons officially associated with ROM in some way. I'm sure not all are. It's not difficult for a Frogster employee to make a couple fake accounts and come here and defend the game tooth and nail. If I were as unscrupulous as they seem with their cash shop ripoff, making fake accounts in this forum to defend and endorse this game would seem an obvious tactic to enhance the prospects for making money to me. I'm just a bit taken aback at how vehemently some folks defend this endeavor, which seems obviously a ripoff to so many others.

So you spend real money for an item that may or may not do a particular thing and when it doesn't you complain? Would you also complain if a slot machine didn't give you the jackpot? This is how RMT MMOs work and this is also why you don't buy anything unlessyou know it is going give you 100% satisfaction.

RMT MMOs play off the feeling that players  have to have the best uber gear and level quickly. These companies realize that if they sell items that appeal to a players need to be better than the next guy then they will have a steady cash flow. So if they make an item that may or may not make your gear better and get cash for then they know people will buy it becasue player are greedy. Sorry but RMT MMOs are not the only companies that do this and if you gamble the house will always win.

This is not a scam. A scam would be if you purchased an in game item that had certain qaulities on the web site and then had lesser qaulities when you recieved the item. This is a business model to support a free game.

Some people shouldn't play F2P MMOs with RMT because when they feel they have been taken advantage of then they come here and complain and every other player who feels they got burned by another RMT MMO agree with them and all the players who haven't because they play for a different reason other than leveling fast or having uber PVP gear disagree with them.

If those jewels were a "scam" then people wouldn't keep buying them over and over. They'd buy them once, realize they were scammed, then stop. And the failure rate isn't as bad as the nay-sayers are making it out to be. Getting an item to +4 is almost a given. It's when you try to push it to +5 or +6 that it starts to get risky.

That's pretty much the mantra of every business... making as much money as quickly as they can. It's in their best interest to make a quality game because that's the quickest way to make a lot of money. They certainly couldn't make much if they were putting out a crap product.

1) Well of course there is a "chance" to upgrade your items with the cash shop jewels just not the chance you want. The jewels are a gamble and if you are not willing to take a gamble don't buy the jewels.

2) Well of course they copied other successful MMOs, did you expect them to copy failed MMOs? Do you think they would try something expermintal? No, they made the cloniest of the WoW clones, made it free with  RMT. Really this is one of the most well thought out F2P MMOs on the market today. Why make a WoW clone and then dress it up as something else trying not to look like WoW? Just make a copy of WoW, without getting into copy right issues, let everyone know it is a clone so those who want to play WoW but with out playing WoW can play WoW.

3) Making goods obsolete so the consumer has to purchase more is the oldest way to make money. This is why you have to buy new hair dryer or coffee maker every now and again becasue most people won't spend the money to get something that will last for years and manufactures are banking on this. If player could farm or craft pots that are just as good or better then those in the itemshop then the company can't pay the bills and will close down. As far as the amount of money I spend on this game right now it is $0.00.  How much will it be in a month maybe $10.00 because I want a horse to ride. So even if I spend $15.00 a month on average I am still no poorer then playing a P2P MMO. I am not rushing to end game I am walking mostly because I want to just play the game.

The only way to play any RMT is not to fall into the trap of having to be the bestest the fastest. You have to plan out what you want and need to buy with real money and then stick to it. I you can't do this then you should only play a P2P MMO, but not one with a item mall attached or you will really be screwed.

Keep spending dummies. Keep spending. I got a great laugh off what they did to all the Euro players....Only time before it happens to US. As for you Six, your nonsense on this forum is about as stupid as the nonsense you post on the RoM forums. Keep defending this terrible company.
