To be fair, you're not counting all the DF posts where WoW is mentioned. WoW should at least get credit for 1/2 a post in those cases ;P -mklinic "There's a point I think we're missing. |

In WoW (and in most other games) the fun is inside the game. |

Well, SW:tOR is based on a future reality, so maybe its the game of 2010. "Just because you aren't paying doesn't mean it's not PTW." - Amaranthar |

hm, i haven't seen any threads about people complaining about how rude and harsh the pvp in Df is, no whines about getting pked or full looted. it's rather about how df fails to deliver anything (economy, pve, crafting, diverse skilltrees and so on) and how av is a bunch of lying morons.
actually most people who post here were all attracted by the concept of darkfall, it just failed epicly. maybe mo will fail too, but i'm pretty sure that sometime in the near future there will be a decent full / partial loot, open pvp sandbox game with a playerdriven economy beside eve. *crosses fingers*
and honestly, aventurine deserves the bad word of mouth and all the bashing. jedi mind - heavenly divine, steadily shine in '99! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BVZyX5glEgs |

Well you know what they say. If you can't be famous, be infamous. I do find it funny though. I always thought the whole bad rep is better then no rep thing, as BS. I guess it's true. |

Another incredible David and Goliath victory for Aventurine and a clear sign of Darkfalls continued success despite Blizzards every best effort to thwart the growth of this serious contender and its most considerable threat at every step over the years. Im sure when the highly anticipated USA server launch scheduled to happen soon, or some time soon after or never, the continued incredible interest in this smash hit next generation title will only accelerate beyond all conceivable expectations what by any objective standards is already such a tremendous success story only 4 months after its worldwide launch to highly critical acclaim. I sincerely believe that if this level of interest and hype can be maintained until then its possible we may be conservatively looking at an incredible and almost unheard of long term subscription base of possibly between 10-15 thousand players or even less or perphaps zero, If anyone had any doubts about the reality of the clear and present danger Darkfall poses to so called mainstream games such as WoW then this is a testament to that undeniable fact. Previously I predicted to general agreement that in Darkfalls case we could possibly be looking at the much vaunted WoW killer in its embryonic stage, well now after considering this latest startling revelation I think its even more undeniable that the baby has almost come full term. Great things are in store for Aventurine and Darkfalls future is only looking brighter then ever before, these are great and momentous times and when people look back on the wonder and glory that is the Darkfall experience they will surely conceded this was the dawning of a new age in online entertainment that will go down in the annuals of gaming history as an epoch changing event of epic proportions. |

erm haha? WoW is old and saggy. There probably aren't more than a handful of visitors to these forums who haven't played it. It also doesn't change much. Fundamentally, the game is today, what it was as release. There's not much to say about it. And Darkfall - well it's more infamous than popular here. If you were to assess the content of each post as either negative or positive, then you wouldn't make the claim you have in the thread title. Regarding popularity, do we need to look any further than subscriptions? Last time I looked in on it, WoW's subscriptions had passed the 10 million mark. The most recent data I looked at for Darkfall suggested they were hovering around the 10000 mark.
