Also to say in a very incoherent and trollish way... so WoW has way more players but yet Darkfall has so many players that dont play the game and start threads because they are having more fun writing forum posts about it then actually playing the game?

I'm not sure what your are trying to say. Are you stating the fact that more people are posting about how crappy the game is versus WoW??? Are you trying to say it's a better game because people post about it in general??

Either way, I think it doesn't really matter.

 Darkfall has a following of dislikers and likers. Theres so many of both, that the forums gets flooded with non-sense. Neither use logical arguments for stating how the game is bad or how the game is good, they use opinons, which can't be argued over since it's your own personal opinion. Yet they somehow manage to do it. /clap

I did play the game, it was fun. I played WoW, it was fun. Only reason Darkfall forums are more popular than WoWs is because all the dislikers of WoW moved to the likers of Darkfall side, while all the likers of WoW moved to the haters of Darkfall side. It's very complicated as you can see :P

The reason why the Darkfail forums are so popular here is because this is the only signifigant set of Darkfail forums outside of the official forums at darkfailonline.com, and many people have been banned from the official forums over the years or for different reasons don't want to read/post there anymore.  So basically everyone on the Internet who wants to read/post about Darkfail somewhere other than the official forums ends up coming here.

A game like WoW, by contrast, has hundreds if not thousands of large, active forums dedicated to it, and so the WoW forums here do not see very much action, because people who want to read and post about WoW will go to specifically WoW oriented sites.  For Darkfail Online these forums at MMORPG and the official ones are the only general forums about the game that are active enough to attract much of an audience.

No seriously, Darkfall is more HATED than WoW because well. It sucks...

More people are obsessed with Darkfall than any other game iv'e known! have you ever had one of those moments when you have had a confrontation with someone and wished you said or did something? then you lie in bed awake thinking " i wish i had launched that guy" or said something! well i havent since i turned 20 years old....i really can't say anything is big enough to make me hate it...honestly, there is no person in this world i hate and certainly no game. nothing is big enough or bothers me enough to make me ahte it/them!

Darkfall for some is! some love it, some hate it. Some people make it thier life ambition to bash it..take Damin7 for instance. I have never ever know anyone so obsessed with anything in my life, other than my obsessive ex that is!

actually, i wake up in the middle of the night (the whole 3 or 4 hours of sleep i might get), troubleshooting some telecom problem with a ds3 or dacs issue, OR thinking about which line of skills to train next in eve.

i play darkfall, to play with friends, until they get tired of it.

if people are allowed to come here, create new accounts, and lie about a game that i pay to play; then, i feel i should be able to correct the lies.

i'm amazed how accepting people are of liars.  i wonder if that's how those folks are offline - both the liars and the people promoting the liars.  i honestly thought this sort of launch and shady business folks would have ended with the vanguard fiasco.

obviously, it didn't; and here we have people spinning in support of someone worse than brad mcquaid (by a longshot).   it honestly amazes me.

if so... then it is a sad sad world in which we live.

I come here for the sideshow.

Darkfall, at least the forums, is like a car crash. Terrible, but I just can't look away.

It's because everyone who plays WoW spends more time ingame, everyone who plays Darkfall stays here and defends it, chew on that bit of data.

That would require DF to have  a much bigger playerbase.  Since the numbers like stated in other threads is around 18k and WoW has some millions you must be wrong.

Darkfall is just much more interesting to talk about than WOW, which is so 2004. 

But then again, talking about DF is so 2008, Aion is the game people really want to gush over/bash here in the summer of 2009.

Exactly.  What hasn't been said about WoW at this point?  The pros/cons have debated so many times on here that I everytime you see a thread now it is just mind-numbing.  DF has so many polarizing elements from the gameplay principals, to the actual gameplay mechanics, to the rabid fans on each side, to the absurdly comical development cycle and of course my favorite, the all-time worst PR man in the history of gaming, Tasos.  At least it's something fresh to debate.....

It seems the concept of Darkfall has a greater draw of attention.  Even those that prefer the theme-park centric pve mmorpgs are stepping in here, as seen in this post, to state how unfavorable a player-driven and dynamically player-influenced ecosystem type mmorpg is to them.

Just goes to show the diversity of opinions.

You forgot about SW:tOR, you know the game that has all the fat 30 year olds living in mom's basement with their fake lightsabers getting a hardon over paying a monthly fee or RMT for a single player game.

Most of the DF posts are complaints. That's nothing to be proud of. As someone said, this statistic only proves that DF is more disliked then WoW.
