Just playing Arma 2 and thinking I would pay double the price to play MMO version of this game, or maybe STALKER MMO seeing as its already an RPG, all you need is a persistent server with huge map. Technology can take it, I mean we already have MMOs in development using Unreal 3 engine and people were saying MMO games with those graphics is not possible, it is now :)
When will people get bored of Orcs, Magic and Elfs? i got bored in 2003 but still play as there is no choice :( |

Oh I am bored with Orcs, well Magic depending game I can handle, but Elfs, Meh also done with them. Anyway I wouldn't want a Stalker or AA2 MMO, reason is they are good at what they do in the form they do it. Wel must say that Stalker does have plenty of issue's, but I like the game never the less. I'm also not totaly against a Arma MMO , but would rather see a Cod MMO, but with lets say the crafting depth of Star Wars Galaxies, meaning you need or want a vehicle, someone needs to craft it for you, you want a special weapon/armor or anything that's not basic issue stuff, it's should be crafted, as we already know and like (atleast I do) the combat in Cod, we also have the multiplayer parts which is kinda the same as people wanting end game in a MMORPG, so a Cod MMO should deliver so much more then what it's already bringing, there for I feel a Cod MMO should involve a heavy focus on Crafting just as much a Combat. There are so many possibility's with a World War MMORPG, it's a shame there isn't any right now in the way I feel would be cool, apart from WWOnline, which again makes the choice for me to rather play multiplayer War games as it does have lots of depth in forms in how to engage, but it's far to limited TO ME to see it personaly as a MMORPG other then it being a online game. ------------------------------------------------------------ |

Nah, I would prefer a System Shock/Shadowrun/Deus Ex MMO. |

I was sealed on Global Agenda after seeing that spy head shot the friggin elf mage through the eye. Tabula Rasa with better polish and crafting would be nice. |

Stalker was absolutely amazing, hands down. Heaven and Hell is debatable - Karma is not. |

STALKER would be a great MMORPG if done correctly. Make it about territory wars and allow player housing. Make vehicles craftable with extensive amounts of work and make ammunition hard to get and or rare. This would have to be full loot , free for all PVP no bullshit type of game. The FPS view all started with EverQuest and that went away when DAoC came out and hasn't really been back since. First person view, in my opinion, is key to a great MMORPG (ie Oblivion, EverQuest, Fallout). One can only hope. Hardcore modes or permanent death makes every close call an adrenaline rush, and every minor achievement a major victory. This alternative rule-set should be in all MMORPGs. |
