it's not dead; but, the only place anyone cares about darkfall... is darkfall forums... and those forums are mostly filled with disillusioned players and ex-players, who are fed up with tasos' lies, a pisspoor game, and idiotic statements made by fanbois.

several months into the game, and it MIGHT have 4-5 THOUSAND subs total.  (ignore fanboi guesses as to numbers, take it from someone who never has to queue to login, and who has noticed large clans that don't log in, and an online store that used to be open for 10 minutes, stays open 24/7 now).  <<< large clans HAVE left. i do NOT have to queue to log in.  online store is open for FAR FAR more than the usual 10 minutes (2weeks now?)... as for the 4-5 thousand... tasos and crew disabled the "this many people online" they had enabled the first couple of weeks.  the only thing people use now are clan listings (which have MANY deleted characters and characters of people who have quit the game... but then they try to bolster THIS already bolstered number by saying "this doesn't include non-clanned people")... so, 4-5k active subs may NOT be accurate... it could be only 3k, it could be as high as 6 or 7k... at any rate.. several months into the game and even if i pretended it has 20,000 total subs... that is NOT a world of difference from 4-5k.   not when games have hundreds of thousands and millions of subs... anything under 50k subs can probably be lumped together as failure numbers.  so, this is all pretty much fact.

And if you hate the game so bad, why do you play it???  << are you God?  are you daring to tell me what i can and can not do with my time and money?  perhaps i listened to the constant LIES... LIES, as in the people making the statements are douchebag LIARS... i listened to the constant lies made by IDIOTIC FANBOIS FOR THE PAST YEAR+?  These liars are going to be held accountable.  they say something about the game, and it's ANOTHER damn lie - i point out it.  if it's not the stuff i'm seeing and playing and enjoying or not enjoying... then i'm calling the liars - liars.  

 

want to do something -- provide a review... i mean ed zitron and everyone else with negative reviews are so wrong... make a positive review... post it here... provide factual information to support your points... the points i don't agree with, i will provide factual information to counter.  cover EVERYTHING about the game - if you do not cover an area, i will bring it up and give you first chance to show the positive and how great it is, and i will provide (as close as possible) factual information to counter if i disagree... this way you don't make a review that goes on and on and on about shadows and how pretty waterfalls are.

the challenge is there for everyone who is considered a fanboi.  make your review... i don't care about spelling or grammar... but if you do not use correct grammar and spelling; then DO NOT nitpick about words and phrases; because i will point out every typo and error in grammar.  say what you mean and mean what you say and if you post lies - do not try to twist your meaning to be some secret code.

 

proof, or stfu.  i've proven many times over on just this forum, and i don't see where people (without outrightly LYING) have disproven information i have presented.

Regarding that Ed review you talk about. I dont care for any review. Only my own. And thats why i wont ever write a review for DF.

And attacking spelling and grammar sems abit out of the place. This is not the "english literature" forum you know. English is not the first or second language for many people here. Only thier interest in MMOs maybe comes in first place regarding hobbys.

Well its not "Dead" untill the last server dies. However the game has stagnented. Tasos has promised a NA server. I think this either will never happen and the game will slowly bleed out or that it WILL, happen there WILL be about two months of renewed interest in the game followed by more bleeding unless the quality and acessability and accountibility has gone up about 300%.

If they actually manage to do that (I gave up hope 3 months ago) the game will likely struggle along on a subcriber base just large enough to keep them solvent if they lay off a few people. That is the BEST CASE SENARIO that I can forsee.

I guess it's easier for everyone to bash games instead of trying to enjoy what has been offered. I guess they're waiting for miracles to happen.

Last server? LOL, There is only one. "Tasos has promised a NA server"...That should be proof in itself that there will be no NA server.

wow, I have to say yes, the PVP is dead. only PVP I can find on a regular basis is one or two dogs ata goblin spawn prety consitantly.

other than that I am part of one of the larger guilds in game we are active with defence PVP in our territory, and satuday and sunday nights we have a chance to gather together and raid a couple cities, usually enbd up fighting the same people every weekend no matter if we look for them or not.

I remember justr a month ago on a friday night I went solo to the other end of agon to Oromeas city and the place I never been to befor, I was amazed at how many people where in their city, around it gathering and killing mobs, it seemed every mob spawn in the citys close proximity had a couple people fighting, it was great i spent a good 3 hours griefing gatherers to get back to good alignment. On yesterday I went there solo to pvp, on a sunday night, and the city was barren, nothing around, the city had all of 2 or 3 ppl not afk, sad to see such a decline in player population when so many are waiting for NA server I expect then to be more fun for new players.

 I can't go buy the game, so it was never alive...to be considered dead.  Just sayin'.

No, but it is dying. It has a maximum subscriber base of 18k, prolly alot less, and has been steadily falling in x-fire. This game is finished, just need its final blow so we can get rid of it. I think Mortal Online release will be it.
