I play on the Antonia Bayle server. Based upon the topics in the level 1-9 chat, many people are returning to eq2. And Stormhold had a lot of people in it Sunday evening. So no, it's not too late to re-join eq2. I'd suggest Antonia Bayle as a server.

Not again. Look, join or not. There is no such thing as "too late" unless you're overly sensitive.

It's never to late to join up.  I have found the population base on Permafrost to be quite healthy and i would imagine other servers are the same.

Unlike most games EQ2 has built in a wonderful system called mentoring that allows a higher level person to group up with a lower level person and scale their level to the level of the lower level person.  So playing lower level content is still interesting and fun.  But that isn't all.  High lvl persons are motivated to do this especially for dungeons, and the reason is for AA experience.  You see at 80 every player starts scrapping around looking for ways to get AA points.  This is where mentoring comes in.  By mentoring you can get AAs killing named mobs that you missed when you were originally leveling up.  You also get more xp from doing quests you didn't do.

So really it is never to late.  Just don't log in and look at death fist citadel and say, I'm lfg for DFC in the lvl 40-49 channel.  Chances are you will not hear a peep...  Instead go into the 1-9 channel and say I'm looking at starting a DFC group and need help.  You'll pick up some high lvl people rather quickly.  Maybe even some that know there way through it and can be invaluable in helping you thorugh the dungeon.
