And you know what else it just be an NPC.... :P But it's fun to speculate. (,,,)=^__^=(,,,)Game Latte Vidcast |

What canon? This isn't FFXI, the races look similar but they are not the same races, they can make a femake Galka too if they want. I agree with the Viera coming over from Ivalice though, they'd have to have another name and story which is what these new old races are getting.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cannon_(fiction) Canon, in terms of a fictional universe, is any material that is considered to be "genuine", or can be directly referenced as material produced by the original author or creator of a series. Basically, something that is "canon" means that it is something that "actually happened" in that fictional universe. An example of something non-canon is a fan-fiction; a fan fiction about a particular story is not "canon", as the story in the fan fiction never actually happened in that fictional universe.
So if you wrote a story within the Star Wars Universe and you had Storm Troopers use lightsabers that would be against canon. And Galka are asexual they do not reproduce sexually they die and are reincarnated. Technically galka aren't male either ... they don't have any junk. |

It's cannon to Final Fantasy XI, but not XIV. They said to think of them as actors. It's like having Ron Perlman play a Galka in a Final Fantasy XI movie then wear the same make up for Final Fantasy XIV, but not be a Galka. Then you have Chyna (can't think of a big woman at the moment) play the female of that same race that Perlman is playing in XIV. |

I think we're forgetting about the video and captures from when the game was still called rapture. Has that been announced to be fake or true yet? Becuase I remember seeing the Gria in the caps if my memory serves. |

And I think I remember SE saying something about using FFXI stuff for that trailer like the outfits people were wearing so you have to be careful what you pick out of that video! |

Mainly I only liked viera for their classes in tactics advanced in 12 I did like Fran. I believe if they do decide to add a new race that it must serve a purpose...or under the new system races may not be based on stats but rather abilities whether active or passive. If they take that route they could bring in as many as they wanted. |
