15K clanned members + guesstimate of 3K unclanned == 18K on the server. certainly plenty more than the 10K players they were aiming for pre-release.

hello? concurrent at primetime would be 7-10K.
got a reference for where they specify concurrent not total?
either way, they're good numbers for just 1 server with FPS combat/no auto-targeting.
the big question is: how quickly will NA-1 sell out? i bet it sells out within 4 hours of opening.

wrong at 18k total users.....concurrent would be 3600 to 5400 concurrent users at 20-30% of total population on during primetime

Proabably take 3 years to turn in a profit if things stay like that.

Since Rhinok had the same numbers on May 23rd. for clan members. It would appear that the game is stagnant. Now with that said, I find it hard to believe that for 3 weeks there is no movement in clan count at all. You would think if the game is getting new players that the clan count would go up. Maybe I'm reading to much into this. But it does not look good from where I sit. Especially if 50% of the population transfers to NA, and I have seen estimates that it would be higher. To have 2 servers with only around 9,000 players with the cost to run both would be the doom of this game. But that is just my opinion. |

Rhinok has posted that here already. And your numbers are still wrong. My old toon is still in a clan even though the character doesn't exist. The 15k+ clan members is higher then the actual number of people in clans. Lets say they did had 20k though. |

Originally posted by javac So, even with the shop open 24/7, clan membership went down from 15055 to 15022 and the clan count went from 791 - 709. That shows consolidation, but no vertical growth. Considering the shop was openeed prior to the North American server announcement, that's a bad thing. Irrespective of that, I believe you're estimating high, although it's refreshing to see that you've come down from 40k, 20k to now 18k estimate. As I've mentioned in my prior posts and as Fariic stated, the clan count is a maximum possible clan member count, because both ex-players and deleted characters are still included. As such, the clan membership is a good baseline, but is not an absolute. 18k is about the absolute limit on active membership, I believe, but the true number is somewhere between 13 and 18k. Regardless, that's a really low number in a game that allows only 1 char/world, has a huge world, and depends on PvP and Clan Sieges as it's primary features. If there's a 1:10 concurrency ratio, then that means there's generally less 1900 players online at any given time. 1:20 means there's under 1000. Either way, that's not good, since the server is allegedly optimized to handle up to 10k concurrent users. Considering the server still crashes with multiple sieges and a low population and that non-siege members are affected by warping mobs, I'd say Aventurine isn't doing too well. ~Ripper

I've been on during primetime and players are complaining about there not being anybody online. Even the sieges only have 1, maybe 200 players involved. Concurrency is low..... ~Ripper |

I imagine there will be an influx of NEW American players when the NA server comes up. Check back in 2-3 months after NA-1 opens to see if retention will remain high. |

That's so true. I wonder why the OP felt the need to post such bad news about the game, that's not like him.. |
