I started playing Warhammer the day it was released. I played for about 2 months, got 2 characters to rank 40, and ended up quitting because I was bored at end game (Mainly because there were very few players in T4 at the time).
Recently I've been considering trying the game again. I dont know much of what has happened since I quit, I only know that the realms my characters were on were closed, and they were transfered. (Also, my 2 main characters transfered showed as failing on the account management site, Should I be worried) Anyway, My question is, is the game worth looking at again? Or has it gone the way of AoC? __________________________________________________________________________________ We are not god, Not only are our powers limited, But sometimes we are driven to become the devil himself |

I bought into the 10day re-enlistment and found it quite impressive it has been balance quite a bit and I found playing the choppa I don't know how the end game is looking I do know they continue to make updates for it even though it seems to be in its death throes.....this is where my current subscription is

they fixed most of the flaws it had at launch the only thing they really need to fix is server stability for the big big sieges |

depends if you left from no end game all that is new is the land of the dead. It not a huge content upgrade though. |

Warhammer online currently has a game breaking bug which allows for Global Cooldown exploits. In effect, this means that Bright Wizards are now running in groups and spamming 4 scorched earths in 1 seconds dropping groups in a matter of seconds. The bug exploits instant casts and ignores the gcd which is about 1.4 seconds. So until it is fixed I don't suggest going back. It is extremely frustrating. |

My old server (Averhiem) got shut down it seems. I have a R40 Marauder/Magus. And lets not forget that getting stuck in rocks, corners, rabbits, etc... has gotten worse since release. If ycou do go back, I would avoid jumping around the terrain too much. Also the ability delay has been reducted but still exists, along with the moral issues of either not firing while the cooldown goes into affect or vice versa is still present. Balance is all out of wack as well, and mythic is delaying the class balancing. It will not be part of patch 1.3 at this point. Cheers! |

Yes getting stuck on everything is really REALLY annoying. And the fact the /stuck command logs you out is just bad programming. On another note for ssjkakarotto, I guess he got raped by order on his server. Onmy server I get raped by Destro. Its still fun but it all comes down to is balance. You are really never going to have that with RVR. You just have to fight back as much as you can and be smart about it. I have to admit there are times I just get really frustrated with the game because they offer so much and it seems the Devs dont want to fix anything except add new content. Ill sub and give it a go. The new patch should be out anyday so We will see if that makes a difference.

This game is pure shit. It's still effectively in beta and now they are on the verge of releasing something they are trying to spin as an expansion. The game is hopelessly broken and buggy. The end game is a mess and any large scale encounter is laggy as hell. I played this at release and barely lasted a month then came back awhile ago for the 10 day deal and figured id stick around see how things went. Well I wasted my time; don't do the same. This game is withering away as time goes by. Most people already went back to what they were playing before or looking forward to something due out soon. |

Just an aside, but typing /reloadui will often unstick your character, without the log out/log in thing. It's worked for me a few times (I don't know why it works, just that it has). Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned. |

To the OP - I just reactivated my account to check out the Lands of the Dead preview. It's not bad and they have fixed a lot of the bugs that used to drive me silly. That being said, I think the game still lags a bit. I'm able to run AOC at high settings, so I'm pretty sure it's not my computer. Since you're already at 40, you'll have plenty to do. I've noticed that as a guy trapped in T3 (I'm 29), there's almost nobody on in my bracket. I play on Volkmar supposedly one of the more active servers. It's not good that this game doesn't have new players or people bringing alts up. Suprisingly enough, I've seen far more newbies in AOC than in the lower levels of WAR. |
