Gamers who use RMT are like athletes who use steroids |

Microtransactions are a carebear crutch, nothing hardcore would have any form of RMT |

I don't get what the fuss is about RMT. I've played tons of MMOs with RMTs, they don't always have to be centered around exp gains and usually the only people who are buying the exp gains are people that are extremely high levels and been playing for a really long time. Other RMTs are sometimes just small edges over the free stuff and a lot can just be cosmetic. I mean look at Maple Story damn that game is nuts with deco shop. I mean if you ever seen someone play Maple story you'll see almost half the people with some kind of deco item. And then say like 9Dragons, it's an OK game, not really my favorite, but I've seen people drop like $200! in a month on just getting that extra little edge on leveling and such, but that's when they are like lvl 100ish trying to get to the very last levels. But it's never really a big deal. I've never played an MMO where RMT mattered to a great degree. It's also part of company's understanding that some people will be like those nut jobs that will drop hundreds of dollars in a month because they are addicted to no end and some will not even spend a penny.
Some food for thought, World of Warcraft was originally planned out to be RMT, but they felt that NA people wouldn't be too keen on it while it would work great in Asian countries. So in the end they decided to just make it P2P across the board to avoid lash back from envy or critism from one side being different than the other.
And RMT is usually less of an issue for twitch games. Just like in games like Xsteel, Combat Arms, Drift City or Gunz.. Level gap is a huge deal, but in what game isn't?
The person that said it's more fun than combat arms gives me hope since I enjoy Combat Arms greatly. Can anyone tell me what the world is like? Or is it just a big lobby? Or is it kind of a hybrid? |

First, RMT is not that big of a deal. People who say its for "carebears" are just retarded in my opinion. Second, it plays really well. Its mostly lobbies, but they are large and have plenty of stuff in them. But the PvE is great. My only problem was the "pvp". IM not a big pvp person but i had to try it and it just felt really unfair and not fun. People with snipers just dominating everything while us low lvls had trouble hitting anything. But all in all it will be worth a try, i mean come on its free ;) (once it finally gets to open beta) |

I agree. I'm mostly just looking for something that is a pure Gunz replacement. I liked gunz, but I only kept playing because they said they wold bring quests over, then when they did they sucked and I uninstalled, lol.
There is going to be a balance issue of course, otherwise why would anyone want to upgrade? As long as there are separate options for people who can't compete and still have fun then it's good. Plus aren't there maps where sniper rifles don't work well? Like in certain maps COD or most FPS? I mean in Combat Arms I always save money to get a sniper rifle or wait for someone to die with a long range weapon and pick it up, but in a match with plenty of players it's not as easy to snipe since there are more angles to worry about. In 1 on 1 then it's annoying for the person in the sniper's scope, lol. Not saying Huxley has well balanced maps as I haven't played it, but I'm sure it's a lot different on different maps with different amounts of players. |

No one really wants a overly complex game. Then again no one wants a overly simple game. Look at WoW, not a bad game. But it's not a good game either. Half their player bas would know a good game if it came up and asked for a blow job. Back to the subject tho. I really havent played the game so I would'nt know what it like. But if its like Section 8 in any way. Then you might as well throw yourself off a cliff. The one factor that mars a FPS like this is that it is area based. I find those type of games to closed minded and severly lacking content. FPS that are base on nothing but player to player interaction. Should be based in a big sand boy arena of some kind. The days of the virtual lobby is long dead. Time for some new ideas and some new blood in the industry. The old ones are running on empty. Time to take them out to the back of the shed. |

They are afraid. They feel the player who arent that good will get item that will even the playing feild against those who are very skilled. |

i think it's more about lag issues. I would like to play it but something tells me this is going to be like Kart Rider, massively addicting, but will NEVER come out. And they will say it will, but they will probably never bring it. There's a chance that maybe it won't make money on the micro transaction model. I mean if they're forced to make players have pier hosting while dueling, that sends a red flag like they can't make money on this game. Very sad, i'd like to have played this game. I mean from the videos, the monsters, story, areas (like the ruined subway section), guns that shoot real bullets (oppose to the raver light show that is lasers and big balls of light) I think it would be a blast. I just got finished playing Borderlands and that was very fun. I could see this game feeling the same way even if I soloed the game. |

I don't want to flame, but you should be constructive. I haven't played the game, however if it's F2P I might as well. Not brilliant at FPS's though. Microtransactions is something I don't mind, as long as you can't buy a win. I'll give it a whack! http://www.recycleyourgames.co.uk - Recycle Your Games and Consoles. yea ijji announced already that it will be F2P. But this isn't the first time they've announced to have a game and even have beta testing going and then have the game go silent and never come out. I really hope this game comes out, but from it's record of being around and lots of testing and development just seems like they may not release the game. I just wish there was more dialogue from the devs. |

haha nice one. Well in Korea they did open beta for months in 2008. I figured since we are will into 09 it might have been done in Korea at least, but I jumped through a ton of hoops get an account and then get to the last step only to be told, no beta anymore and nothing more. I think the game has been teased about since 2005. That's when it was first shown at E3. So yea, it's been almost 5 years and no definite answer when the game will be released or anything new. And the ijji site for Huxley is stupid... |

Wow what a joke. A game that was over hyped from day one falling on it's face. Seems to be the norm these days. |

yea no kidding. I hear though despite a lot of the the hate of the game the good stuff shines through, but iono what the hold up is. It seems like this game should have came out already, so it makes me think it can't make money for one reason or another and so they just won't bring it to market. |

Micro transaction is where it's at for me. I prefer it, don't know what people's beef is with F2P games, I love the good ones hate the bad ones. |

The pr0blem is there are t0 many bad 0nes 0ut there that rip pe0ple 0ff. The am0unt 0f m0ney p0eple have t0 spend t0 have a decent experience in game far exceeds the $14.99 0f a sub in 0ther MM0's and that has left a nasty taste in pe0ple m0uths. I never had a pr0blem with then either until this past, 0h, year and a half. The quality 0f the games just d0n't seem t0 be there yet they expect p0eple t0 spend 0ut the ass 0n m0unts, exp p0ts, and avatar cust0mizing t00ls. I understand it's a business, but m0st 0f us d0n't want t0 be given the business if y0u kn0w what I mean :) S.C.I.F.I |

That was very strange indeed... what's up with all the zeros? I found myself just looking for a real letter "o" instead of reading what the guy had to say. That with the red text... all I can say is WHY!!?>!?! |
