An Introduction…

Aegis, a future hardcore Asmodian legion, is looking to expand its ranks to show dominance in the North American servers. Aegis is seeking skilled individuals who not only want to dominate content, but to complete it in a time efficient manner. Dedication, passion, and taking criticism are important to us. That being said, we are currently looking for any class who is able to meet the following criteria:

Expectations…

>Dedication: A member of Aegis is expected to attend all guild events. If you at any time are not able to make an event, you are expected as a member of the legion to post on the forums and let us know you will not be attending. If any member is seen to be falling behind in dedication and is noticed by the officers and/or members, action will be taken. We expect our members to have a minimum of 30 hours played a week if not more. Please note that no progression times have been set at this time.
> Maturity: We are looking for players who have respect towards others out of our legion, within our legion, and towards any alliances we may have. We expect every player in Aegis to be respectful towards another person’s age, race, sex, and religion. Drama is something we seek to diminish whenever it may arise. All members are to be held responsible for drama, regardless of your rank or popularity.
>Motivation: Like all MMOs, there will be a great deal of grinding in Aion. All members in Aegis are required to have motivation to overcome future challenges of the legion. Challenging encounters and events should be the main focus of a member. Without the proper understanding of the event, the rewards will not come. If you think you don’t have the motivation to overcome theses challenges because it isn’t fun, or it’s a game, or it’s not important to you solely, this is not the place for you.
>Criticism: One of the more important criteria is taking criticism. Not everyone is perfect, though we’d like everyone to be. That being said, we expect for all members to shoot for perfection. To aim for it, you must be able to take criticism from not only officers, but members.

looks like you're going to start/have a real nice guild (confused cause aion ain't out here yet dunno there, would like to know when it comes though) only one remark... you ask players to play 30 hours a week to stay in?

like wanting active players is normal, but 30 hours a week is like saying be low-life or get lost O_o

i mean.. being online 14 hours a week is good enough at most mmo's to do a real bunch of things, including end game raiding (even each day if logged at the right hours) so why 30? O_o you want the game cleared in 2 weeks?

30 hours isn't a lot necessarily. Most top guilds in Warcraft raid 5 days a week for 5 hours a day. That's 25 hours simply raiding. If you count in other hours before/after raids and off days, it exceeds that 30 hours.

You may wish to add "extreme hardcore" to the first sentence of your description.  

ROFL....Guess I'm not hardcore! I'm currently unemployed, have been since February, and I still couldn't allow myself to put in 30 hours per week into a video game! Do you realize that a full-time job in the U.S. is considered 40 hours a week? So your asking people to put in almost just as much time into a game as they do their jobs? Crazy, not for me I guess. I'm coming from the married with children side of things, I guess if I was still young and not married with no children I could probably dedicate 4+ hours every day of the week but even then that's asking for a lot. Good luck to you on your search for people that can put in that kind of time and not get sick of the game after a few weeks at that rate LOL!

I swear waiting for this game to come out is adding a second to every second every time a second goes by lol. Sounds like a good guild though. I will look it up when Aion hits the states

So basically you may as well add in Bold You must be Jobless, No Life, Not Going to School, Live in Parents Basement, Then you may join.

30 Hours a week is too high for a Requirement I know any top guild in WoW having half that for Application requirement as they Respect that people have lifes and contribute the to world instead of spending every last second on the Computer.

You are clearly misinformed, as any top U.S WoW guild raids a minimum 25 hours a week. The best players are usually the ones who actually play the game.

I knew many of my members on the Top guild on my Server when I played ( They were #20 in the World) and a good number of them had Full Time jobs and they did not raid 25 hours a week as they rotated through the instances and only raided about Half the week.

As long as you arent a bunch of stuck up asshats then yeah ill lok into it. I always try to be the best and this being a PvP centered MMO, its good to be with people who share the same goals.

Well, you just have to find the guild that fits you. 30 hours is to much for me also, that is just 5 hours less than I spend at work. But it is good that OP state how much time he demands of the guilds players.

I'm more 20h a week person myself, 30h I can d when I am free from work (happens every 6 weeks or so) but some weeks I just don't feel for playing at all. Particulary in a game I havn't tried yet.

So this is not really for me but the guild sounds nice, I hope you have a good time in Aion guys :D

I'm sorry, but that isn't playing the game, that's called an obssession.  I'm sure there are some people in WoW who may play that much, but I bet the guilds that raid consistently like that use a plethora of players in order to fill the gaps.  I mean, most of those guilds have 100's of players and still usually only have one or two full raid groups going at any given time.

You clearly aren't in any top WoW guild, or else you would know that only applies to new content.

So what does that leave them with, Uldaur 25 man, which they probably do as a guild, and 10 man, which they probably leasurely organize between themselves.

No way they raid for 25 hours a week.

And really, good luck finding 25 hours on content to raid in Aion, most of it is PvP raids, it is a massive PvP game, and you mention none of that in your post.

I recommend you play a bit of the Chinese version to get a feel for it before advertising for a Legion that you are presumably leading.

I have a job and responsibilities in life.  And you don't need 40+ hours a week to be "good".

I'm in a top 20 US guild and I can clearly confirm you sir are an idiot. Everything you stated is wrong. We do raid for more than 25 hours a week, we raid 5 hours a day 6 days a week and no we dont have a plethora of people to chose from. Any guild that knows anything knows there are still BiS in Naxx so again, you're an idiot.

Towards all the other idiots who think top end guilds dont raid more than 25 hours, google learn to use it.

Also, I heard 30 hours a week including events is a lot amrite? LOL @ stating Aion has no endgame than just PvP and if it were as you say, only PvP , how is it then they couldn't fulfill a inifnite amount of time PvPing? There is no end to PvP.
