What are you? Pick the role that best describes yourself. BE HONEST!!!!!!!!
1. Social ---- you play to meet people. To advance and make friends. You can be hardcore or casual but you want to experience gaming with others. You often quit games because other people are quiting, You will stay in games longer just because friends are staying. Overall though you may be any of the other kinds of players you feel you only do it because there are other players. You get upset when players are fakes online, or anti-social. ENEMY - The Solo Artist 2. Glory hound - You want to be the best. When people see your name you want them to fear, or appreciate your ability. You do occasianly kill someone one or two extra times, but you want a fair fight against larger odds. Prefer when you can brag about it on forums or ventrillo right after. Or better yet when other people talk about how great it was, or gay. You often seek to Show people how awsome you are by posting screenshots. Your EpEEN is porn star quality. You often track "bad" guys and save level low level newbs. you hate people who complain about the game because the SUKZORS. ENEMY ---- The Hater 3. SOLO artist - You play MMO games because they have alot of content. You are not really intrested in other players. They are just kinda in your way alot of the time. You like finishing quests and getting the whole story. You get frustrated and complain when something requires a group. You will join them but only grugingly. Often you skip lower level instances and go back when you can do them alone. You often re-roll and experience all the classes. If someone sends you a message you usualy ignore then, quit often very frustrated. You get very frustrated when people steal your grinding areas. ENEMY ---- Asian Farmer.
4. The Griefer - You could have been a glory hound, But in truth you have no desire to do anything but piss other people off. The idea of a a 21 year old man crying and breaking his keyboard, deleating his account, and possibly slitting his wrist really drives you wild. You want people to message me you complain, post about you on forums, and all around just cry. Your allies will often hint that maybe you are going to far. Even a glory hound sometimes feels the griefer takes it to another level. Enemy - Glory Hound 5. The Crafter - Your goal in a game is to be the best crafter. You want everyone to know about you and buy from you. You get your jollies off when you make something no one else has made, or made as well. You often overvalue your goods. Often complaints about games is people are not willing to pay what is needed for the best gear, or that non-crafted gear is completly unfair to you. Enemy - The beggar 6. The asian farmer - ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ENEMY - ???????? 7. The kid - You are 9-15 years old. Usualy you pretend to be older online. You want people to be nice to you, cause people at school are soooooo mean. You still wet the bed, but its ok cause you have goodnights. You often cry when someone says a mean thing to you, won't give you free stuff, or anything in the game takes more then one try. But you like to play and pretend to be grown up, and flirt with girls or guys. having fantasies about when you will meet them and get married. (often you disappear from games if you ever do actualy meet these people) ENEMY ----- The Griefer.
8. The Flirt - You enjoy getting people horney online. You often skimp on armor and weapons in favor of a more natural approach. You enjoy games with a variety of dance emotes. You also enjoy finding ways to make normal emotes sexual. You often are a older man, but you pretend to be a 18 year old girl, who is bi. Your wife or husband does not know your having cyber fun online, Nor does your next door neighbors kid who is jerking off while chatting with you. The griefer will usualy even let you live longer then others if you perform emote sex with him. You don't like people who won't / LOVE you. Enemy ---- STD's , The crafter for not giving sexy clothing free. 9. The Beggar - You prefer to have stuff right away. You do not like waisting time running around. You often congregate in questing hubs, asking players for money, items, or a loan. Usualy you claim to be X amount short for some item. You practice sounding pathetic to ensure you get free cash. You are not sexual like the flirt but you will perform cyber sex for copper. Whatever it takes. You often are lazy person, you live at home in parents basement, have never had a job and never plan to. Big plan for future is your parents life insurance. ENEMY -- The flirt (steals attention) , 10. The Hater - You do not like the current MMO, matter of fact you have never liked a mmo. You do however play them and complain alot. Often you spend most the time on the forums bitching about game mechanics and people ruining the game. You say how XYZ system was so good in ABC game, even though in ABC game you complained about how XYZ system sucked. Nothing will ever make you happy, except people agreeing with you and eventualy deleating there accounts also when there 30 days is up. ENEMY - EVERYONE

If I can be the "Social Solo-Artist Glory Hound Crafter", then you have me pegged! I can't be just one thing, and it usually depends on the day, how much time I have, my personal in-game goals, who I'm playing with (or not playing with) etc... |

I picked social even though I also do some soloing and a lot of crafting and selling. I just prefer to group with my guild mates, and help those that are lower lvl than me with quests or whatever they need. I also enjo sharing any knowledge of the game that I have. Maybe this is why I have never had the best gear after being the max lvl. I just spend too much time helping others that I don't have time to just work on myself. |

I'm definitely social, but the descrpition is not accurate, at least for me, although my enemy is the solo artist. I play to meet people, and enjoy playing the game with others. Solo an MMORPG has no entertainment value for me, I'd much rather load up KOTOR or a good FPS game. I'm not going to be "hardcore". I'll play when I want. As long as I'm playing with others, it's fun. Advancement is a nice addition to the game, but only because it opens up more content to play wiht other people. However, if I'm bored, I'm not staying because friends or guildmates are staying, and if they leave, bye bye, I can make more friends if I'm having fun. I don't mind players that are anti social. If the game has good grouping content, and you want to mindlessly grind somewhere by yourself at a slower pace, knock yourself out. Doesn't bother me. I don't knwo what you mean by "upset when players are fakes online". I dont' care who you are in real life, guy, girl, old, young, etc. Just be nice, don't kill steal or ninja loot, and you can be anyone you want online, that's fine with me. |

I'm a Solo Artist, but I don't suffer fools easily -- so occasionally I'll slip into griefer mode if somebody is being particularly obnoxious. |

I think.. the main premise behind MMOs is to be social. Solo content is really silly, because there is plenty of games with solo content in mind, and I just don't understand why you want to play a massive multiplayer game by yourself. Elder Scrolls III and Elder Scrolls IV will beat any MMO at this, because they only have to worry about one-player and making ONLY solo content. MMOs on the other hand, go into a more in-depth setting with 5-6 man groups and 24-40 man raids.. some of them also have extremely fun crafting that you can share the experience with others. Griefing, complaining and other social anomalies are given in any game, but to ask whether most people are social or solo.. I would hope that most are social.. |

Yeah, I am a Sociial Solo-Artists Glory Hound Crafter myself or a close facsimile. You take the 80% 'sane' parts from each description and that's my play style. I like to solo and do quests but I also like to be social. At the same time I hate being social just to be social. Unless you are close friend I could care less that you are having problems with your girlfriend/boyfriend or your parents have grounded you. I like to be social with people I can relate to and have an interesting conversation with. I do not see the point of being social with a stranger who wants to talk about some inane or juvenile topic. I like people to know that I am dependable and knowledgeable about the game. When I succeed in something in the game I like others to acknowledge it and I do the same for them. I want to earn the respect of my peers in the things that matter. I like crafting for the service it provides to others. I am not in it to make a fortune in some virutal currency but because beign good at it increases the enjoyment of the game for me and for others. |

SOLO artist - You play MMO games because they have alot of content, and to make a character and play with friends. You are not really intrested in making new friends with other players I pick Solo Artist I guess, though I edited it to describe me better. none of the others describe me at all. |

I'm primarily social. I want to play a game with other human beings with much banter and many a merry jest. Working as part of a team gives me a sense of satisfaction. I stopped playing my favorite game, Guild Wars, because it was getting too hard to find pick-up groups. On the other hand, sometimes I am in the mood to solo. Maybe I just want to explore and check out the graphics. Maybe I can't give the game my full attention for some reason and I don't want to hold up a team. I haven't got the patience to be the best crafter, but I do like to craft. After all, endless combat is just as boring as endless anything. |
