And Warcraft has always been a copy of Warhammer. Look up Warhammer, then look up Warcraft. Take note of the race designs, the artwork, ,etc.. Then take note of the dates of release for Warhammer and then Warcraft.

Where did I say anything about the orcs themselves? I said the designs and artwork. As in the visual representations and the style used. Which are complete ripoffs of Wizard's of the Coasts' Warhammer by Blizzards' Warcraft.

if were going by art work (and as an artist myself) i have to say that warhammers art far surpasses warcrafts

warhammers art is raw gritty bloody dark fantastic i love it

warcrafts yes its amazeing but for me its too light lots of soft colours that dont give you the feel of the darkness..there early art work was great almost on par with warhammer but not so much any more

as to who copied who...dont care :P

You mean green and bulky with big fangs for teeth? ... I'm not saying they didn't copy Warhammer at some point, i know they had a legal squaffle (if that isn't a word it is now) over it but even then most o fthe graphics direction again comes from books and lore that existed before Warhammer as well.

Still in that sense your remark was off the mark since he was talking about naming and you're talking about graphics :)

I do agree WoW copying WAR in that sense is a rather silly remark though ^^

Then again, i don't believe there's much relation at all if any anymore these days to the stuff you find in WoW and the stuff in WAR, both of them have evolved a *lot* since that time when they had that argument. If anything, you can probably say that graphically WoW has a lot of "copy" left over from Warhammer (not WAR naturally, check dates ;)). That said WAR has plenty of "copy" from WoW (Wow in itself being a copy from most other previous MMO's) in terms of MMO mechanics/gamedesign/UI design etc etc. A lot of complaining WAR took too much from WoW (in that sense).

Let's say someone said to you and me that they wanted an orc with the description of green, bulky, and with big fangs?

Now what are the odds that your orc and my orc are going to be 99% identical in artistic style?

warhammer and warcraft 1 where very similart but i think after the years Warcraft has evolved allot so they are not really rip of warhammer  anymore.

 I am sure everyone here posting knows this info and that Dark Age is a product of Mythic. Perhaps Mythic/EA is having some simple fun with npc names. When I played WAR, i did notice a few little hints and easter eggs from DAoC. Not enough for my liking mind you , hence why i quit it.

Anyway, scoll down the realm ranks and follow the red (Albion).

Realm Rank 3 of Albion is called a "Myrmidon".
 

Realm Rank 4 of Albion is called a "Gryphon Knight."

WoW vs WAR is old and silly. It has been posted and reposted over and over. Nuff already. 

The "OMG teh warhammer copaeied WoW!1111" nonsense got old about 2 years prior to WAR's release.

The way you phrased your origional post makes it seem like your saying Warcraft copied off Warhammer, which is just stupid.

They both copied off a multitude of other things.
