Dead Frontier is the ultimate survival horror MMORPG. Log in and play with thousands of real players from around the globe as you struggle for survival in a zombie infested city. # Battle for survival against an army of infected zombies I've found this to be quite a little gem, a fun browser based flash game that can be played with up to six players per game.(I think the limit exists to keep the survival feeling or pehaps to limit lag.) I'm a man who loves him some zombies and while out searching for zombie games this was the -only- one I could find that could be played with others. A daily event called an 'Outpost Attack.' where players get together to defend the primary outpost from hordes of zombies and recieve bonus experience for doing so. This is the first game i've posted about I believe so i'm not quite sure what else to tell you besides i've really enjoyed it so far. It's free to play but if you pay 8 dollars a month you get some bonuses such as an increase to what you find in salvage from the 'Inner City' (but not so much that you obliterate free 2 play players) and an experience boost(25%) There is a variety of class types to play and a whole hell of a lot of weapons. Here is the link www.deadfrontier.com/ Enjoy the game or at least give it a try. : ) And I think I should be moved to the... LFGame section. |

Actually it's the opposite. |

It looks like a flash game. Not interested.
Great idea though. One can only hope we get a good MMO in the future with these ideas. Maybe a Resident Evil MMO!! |

Somehow "play with thousands of others online" and "six players limit per game" do not add up to an mmo. -Letting Derek Smart work on your game is like letting Osama bin Laden work in the White House. Something will burn.- |

And as previously stated... having 1000 players around you in a survival horror game would feel out of place. "Oh no! We outnumber the zombies now!" |

People seldom do what they believe in. They do what is convenient, then repent. |

I'll stick with Left 4 Dead. 2 less people, a lot more fun. |

I don't think having that many people or more would feel out of place. Just think 1000 people in and near a huge city full of zombies.
Hell having 5000 people in a PA setting in NYC would feel right. There is an estimated 8.2 million people living in just under 305 square miles. That would be like .000000001% or something I just put a bunch of 000s I don't feel like getting exact right now. I think at least 5000 people could manage to live in a survival horror situation. The last Resident Evil movie just seemed to barren to me, there had to be some other people doing the same thing that Claire was doing. I mean come on if those crazy hillbilly people were still alive untill Alice killed them, there had to be a lot more people alive they just didn't show them. |

wow, what an utter failure. So much potential and they shoot themselves in the foot right off the bat by making it a 6 player game. Have game developers forgot what MMO means?

I think you missed the point. Its not the setting its the fact that playing a 6 player game online does not make it a MMO. I play Combat Arms on the side when im not playing a MMO. It allows thousands into the Lobby area and then 16 people on a MAP..I would not label this game a FPS MMO game that you can play with thousands at a time. |

Zombies always make me think of Milla Jovovich, but I didn't like the way they went with the character in Extinction.

No, actually you should try the game to understand it's concept before saying it doesn't belong. Having more then six players in the game would ruin it. The zombies would either be utterly crushed by mass amounts of players or the developer would need to add 100s of zombies on the screen at once and the game would lag for most players. Of course you can interact with the 'thousands of players' in outposts, but if you want to go out into the city you aren't going to be bringing a 24 man raid with you. Is guild wars any less of an mmo because it only allows 8 people? |

Just look at dead rising 2, they will have up to 8000 zombies on the screen at once. And you're saying 100 would cause lag? o_O

Yes, I am. Also, no it won't. The polygon count would be through the roof and you would need a computer as beastly as my own to play it. ; ) |
