Looking good?! Anyone like to speculate on those numbers once we see the EU / USA release? I'm thinking about 5-7 million.
Of those, will include me! :D |

I just don't see it. The majority of subs are going to stay in Asia, this game won't hold 250k subs in the US. |

Numbers is Asia will be huge but probbaly wont be as big in NA/EU, i think around 500k+ subs for NA/EU. which is good compared to the crap we got in 2008.

Although, I have to say I agree - Aion is a bit too 'grindy' for Western gamers, so will hit max 2 mil amongst EU/USA combined |

Just because the numbers are high, doesn't mean it's going to be good. Personally, I was following this for quite some time, and it's become clear it's more of the same (but with wings!). I'm not going to play WoW, why would I play something that is strikingly similar and gunning for the same feel and audience? Because it looks pretty? I'm sure the numbers will do crazy here, just because it's the same thing people have been eating up, and more of the same always does well, regardless of how monotonous it is. And that aside, they hosed up the only class I was interested in playing, summoner, so yeah... Bans a perma, but so are sigs in necro posts. EAT ME MMORPG.com! |

Its really hard to guess how well it will do in NA/EU.......The only games we have along similar lines is probably the two lineage games and I dont think either one did anywhere near as well in the US as they did in Asia.......On the other hand though, I think alot of people are looking for the next great game....i think that is why alot of people tried AoC and WAR....Unfortunately neitehr game was up to par and they lost alot of subs, but i beleive the timing is good for a new MMO to get alot of attention. |

I guess it's easy now days to call every new game that comes out a WoW clone. Even if the said poster never tried the game. // wrist Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries... |

Well, if enough people try it, I think it'll be a hit
I was in the Chinese Open Beta, and I have to say it's a really decent MMO. It's the kind of MMO that you can easily see 12 million people playing, if it caught on to the public like WoW did
It really is like WoW, except better. Although, I'm only saying this because I'm totally bored of WoW xD |

Ok so 3.5 million and Aion seems to be a success which is great. So here is the million dollar question, where do you think all these subs are coming from ? |
