Just a general question to everyone.
Once AION is released this September in the US and the EU, what other MMORPGs will you stop playing?
There has been a lot of talk about subscription numbers on the forums. Since AION has already hit 3 and a half million subscribers and that's with it just being released in Korea and China, the question is which MMORPGs will be hit the hardest when it's released to the rest of the world? Japan and Australia release will be before the US/EU release by the way. It's pretty dang impressive when it's released in China and within 2 weeks they already added 2.5 million paid subscriptions to the 1 million in Korea they already had!
Who will be hurt the most by AION? Warcraft? D&D? Warhammer? Lord of the Rings on-line? Everquest? I would suspect space type games would be less effected as they are a different genre. I also suspect more of the grinding games like Lineage would be less effected as AION is quest and PvEvP based and not at all grindy based. Wouldn't other quest based games like Warcraft and EQ be hit the most as AION is more of an upgraded version of those games? AION has a huge amount of PvP as well as quests, could it hurt Warhammers numbers?

All of them.
At least that's what I would say if there were any worth playing. Which there aren't. *jaded* I've been keeping myself busy with school until Aion comes out. My professors are gonna shit a brick when they realize the only reason I worked so hard was cuz I had nothing better to do.

None, i will stick to War. So far the pvp seems interesting in Aion, but not at all like Wars Rvr, which is what i like. |

I don't really understand why there is any hype for Aion. it's made by Koreans right? It'll suck hard, really hard.

For me, I will be giving up no MMO as I am currently not playing one. Hell, I do not even know if I will pick up Aion. MMOs Played: I can no longer list them all in the 500 character limit. |

None, I play WAR, and i will not leave it for Aion... doesn't have enough for me to quit war. it's a hype-machine (not unlike spellborn or darkfail) i just don't think i need to play another korean grinder |

Depends on whats released between now and then if anything. Like any good MMO sheep I will pick it up and get my 5-6 months (tops) enjoyment out of it and then wait for the next release. |

I caught Xbox 360 fever and been playing games like Mass Effect,Left4Dead, Bioshock,Fallout 3, Halo Wars and Fable 2. I'm not subbed to any mmo anymore, I had my share of failures since last year but Aion does look promising so we'll see how it goes. If I don't try Aion then I'll be wating for Guild Wars 2, The Old Republic and eagerly awaiting Blizzard to announce their new mmo. Aion is taking subs away from everyone, WOW, LOTRO, AOC, and Warhammer Online. I highly doubt these subs are all new to the mmo experience. |

My WoW sub is definitely being canceled in the fall. EQ2 I have a hard time giving up ever so we'll see, until Aion gets personal housing probably not. EQ2 is also getting a new expansions around the same time and it might be very nice . :/ (,,,)=^__^=(,,,)Game Latte Vidcast |

Nothing here Already had a chance to try the Chinese Version and Although the graphics are very pretty and theres a good amount of quests, deep down its lineage II. Is this a bad thing? Hell no its just not the type of game for me. |

Think i might stop playing RL, its draining me what a grind for money hahaha j/k. Actually atm i am not subbed to any MMO, quit the scene all together about a month ago and just waiting for Aion and Champions along with a few good friends. |
