I'd like to say goodbye to everyone. I've been pushing six years as a member of this site. I'm not saying farewell because I am upset at anyone or any actions as you may usually see of these types of threads. This is not a goodbye for now, see you later in a few months post. I'm not taking a hiatus - I'm not coming back. I've met a great diverse set of people here - some I agree with, and some I don't, but that matters not. I've enjoyed the time either way. I've come to know some of you fairly well - I won't make a list because you know who you are. I must close this chapter of my life and refocus what I have left on my family. For those of you who are, or wish to become doctors, please, learn empathy. A little personal touch, a little caring, and a little compassion will go a long way - life changing news, or rather life-ending news, should not be delivered so harshly. For those who debate the details of afterlife - well, let's just say I'll know soon who is right. I'm not delving into details, but with those two sentences, I'm sure you all can put things together. I only found out today. Life is precious - don't waste it on petty differences. Learn to love and you'll learn to live. Constant bickering will turn you sour and hateful. Live life with purpose, make it meaningful. You never know how much you have left. Take care, farwell, and goodbye. By the way, I don't agree with you that the relevant market here is health care. You're not regulating health care. You're regulating insurance. It's the insurance market that you're addressing and you're saying that some people who are not in it must be in it, and that's -- that's different from regulating in any manner commerce that already exists out there. - Scalia |

Damn, Dek. You shouldn't leave us now. Hey In another month I'll be going on my 6th year here (I think I got that right). Going to be hard to see you go, but I understand that you have much more important things to do in your life. Hey I'll keep you in prayers and take care of yourself too. Hard to see you go, as we don't have much core members from years back come around anymore. -In memory of Laura "Taera" Genender. Passed away on Aug/13/08- |

Sorry to hear about your situation. Godspeed and good luck in this fight. So I started to walk into the water. I won't lie to you boys...I was terrified. But I pressed on, and as I made my way past the breakers, a strange calm came over me. I don't know if it was divine intervention or the kinship of all living things, but I tell you, Jerry, at that moment ... I was a marine biologist. |

Dekron, sorry to hear about your situation. Even though we never agreed on many subjects, I'll still wish you good luck in overcoming the challenges that life has put before you. |

I been reading this site since 02/03 I think it was when I wanted into on Planetside and Star Wars Galaxies. Man can't believe I been reading Gamespot since around 1997....... time just goes by. Lately though I just feel like I should give up on games and go do sumthing with my life. |

Dek, I am not sure what your prognosis is, but know this: Doctors with all their degrees, with all their training, with all their expierance; they are not God. Many suffer from the " god syndrome" and it pains me the way some heartless give out sentences as if they are. They do not choose when it is someones time to go. There are often other options, even when something is inoperable, even in cases of severe cancer, there may still be options. Places like Cancer treatment centers of America take cases when certain doctors give up, and have been help when there seems like there is none. Don't give up, get a second opinion, if they say there is no hope get a 3rd. Research further, ask questions, if you are unable to to so, pm me and I will see what I can do. My father was given a year to live 3 years ago, he is still here with us. My sister was not expected to live more than 3 months , and here she is with us 11 years later. I know that there comes a point that we must accept the inevitable, but whatever we can do in the meantime to keep that from happening can allow us to have the time we need to accomplish what we were meant to do. We cannot live our lives in the what might happen, we have to live it for today, not one of us knows if there will be a tommorrow, so we must make the best of the time we have. Take it one day at a time Dek, and we are all pulling for you, and your family. don't give up, some things are worth fighting for. A New Day

Hey man I was thinking, is there anything we can do for you, before you go? Anything? I already showed my face. At least you know that before you go. -In memory of Laura "Taera" Genender. Passed away on Aug/13/08- |
