You're welcome, Centhan. Global Agenda is a unique game, and I'm just trying to help people understand it better and give it a better shot. :]
Anyone else have a question? |

What about character names. 1 word or first and last? |

I have allways loved the GrenadeThrowers in all shooters, pipebombs, nades, all of it. Any weapon like this in the game? And if there is, is it classrestricted? |

They're definitely useful. That's about as much as could be said without violating NDA. :) |

Thanks, Aiiane for helping out with this thread. For those that aren't aweare Aiiane is also a long time Alpha Tester.
She's completely correct on the force fields. They're really handy to have, and a pain for the other team. |

first off, i am really diggin the look of this game! but i am a bit wary on a few aspects: 1) is there a levelling system? if so what is the level cap? how does level-up work? do you get points to distribute into attributes and skills like in so many other titles? can you ruin a character with a bad build , or is it something like guild wars where you can respec and now be set up for a different playstyle (possibly for what your team wants to tackle next)? 2) you mention in a previous post about crafting and auction houses: this implies some sort of grinding... being for the loot through PVE to craft? how "loot" driven do you see this game as? is crafting very in-depth... like do you need to use PVE loot to make the components to make the end product that you need a schematic for in the 1st place... all with some set % chance of failure/ success? 3) is there multiple tiers of gear? (i guess this falls under the grinding aspect) multiple tiers of classes? multiclasses? 4) i read that all toons will share the user name, how many toons on one account? is there an account-wide storage receptacle? 5) how deep is the story? is there any lore/ backstory/ setting for people that would want to actually roleplay in the world? 6) (TLDR) how in-depth is character customization, and can you ruin your character by cutomizing like an idiot? i'm sure you can't answer some of these questions due to the NDA, but anything you can answer would be greatly appreciated! overall i am very excited about the look and potential of this game... i'm tire of the old hotbutton skill spread.... standing in front of a mob hitting the # keys, hoping to get some awesome sword from the boss rat i just killed! it doesn't feel like your gettin in the game at all. hopefully i get selected for the CB so i can try it out myself to find the answers. |

2) There are plans for auction houses and crafting yes, but gear dependancy is nothing like other games.
3) Uhh.. they plan to have 'seasons' where they release new gear and content. I think it's suppose to be after each campain or something (but it not clear so dont hold me to that)
4) You can have 8 toons
5) Nathan Knaack wrote all the lore. He's wrtten a novel or two worth of stuff they say. I don't think they let him out much.
6) There are a lot of parts to customization so if you don't do it thoughtfully I'm sure you'd screw yourself in combat, but there is also the element of player skill and team work to consider which sometimes can cover your ass.
Sorry for the dely in responding. |

zukan, thanx for your response! from the trailers and video i have seen they don't get into the issues i brought up at all... made me think they are a bit lacking in those areas. can't wait to get my hands on this game!!! |

I haven't been following this game very closely but it does look interesting. :)
Character customization. How indepth is it? Or are they going the way of pre-made models with limited customization (gender, hair, some colors, and a choice between a few face models) like some other games?
And thanks for taking the time to answer questions about the game.

The character customization is quite in depth, there are two videos on gametrailers.com that show character creation and some of the customization available.

Thanks for answering the question there, Sandman. Those videoes are correct. There is quite a lot of customization for a shooter game, but it's not exactly City of Heroes. :P They recantly added some new customization features (new hair etc.) for us testers too. No doubt they will continue to add more through out the testing period and even post launch I bet. |

Since you said CoH... Is it like CoH at launch where there really was no point to playing it? Id hate to buy this, Love the game only for it to be a shallow pointless game. Or is it more like eve where theres Tons of area to control and Lots of Non combat things to do? And most inportantly (to me) Does anything I do (PvE) have a affect on the game or is it just a "Fun side thing"? Hopefully that is worded so it can be answerd... im sleepy. If ye love wealth greater than liberty, the tranquility of servitude; greater than the animating contest for freedom, go home from us in peace. We seek not your counsel, nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you; May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. |

When I mentioned CoH, I was only talkinga bout customization. I'm not sure what HiRez's intentions are with the PvE, I could speculate, but I don't really know, and I don't want to say something and have someone take it as fact. Not to mention a lot of that area is still NDA bound. =) |
