I had high hopes for the game but 2/10 in review? Not going to touch this one with a 10ft pole Has the mass exodus from the game began yet? |

Well most of the fans appear to be on forums scattered around the internet so it looks as though even they don't enjoy being in game that much |

I quit after two weeks. If you've never played a MMORPG before, you might like it. but there are like 20 MMORPGs out there that are better than this. Even a bunch of the free2play games are better. The forums are more fun then the game. |

I'll let you decide if its a flop or not. They've only sold 50 copies in the past... 10 days or so. now compare that to other semi-new MMOs. 5 copies a day, I'm willing to bet WAR is outselling it, and that game is on a decline. Everything creates huge amounts of negativity on the internet, that's what the internet is for: Negativity, porn and lolcats. |

The game is currently unavailable for purchase because they are at current server limits. There are plenty of people playing Darkfall and liking the experience. In contrast, there are several MMOs being played that have people subscribing, but those people treat the game as an "investment" that they haven't yet given up on. I'd rather have 10-20k subscribers having fun than 30-40k who are just waiting for more content to explore. The review of Darkfall by Eurogamer was the equivalent of having my grandmother review Quake III Arena. She dislikes gore and violence, has super slow reflexes, and has never owned a computer. The qualities of Darkfall that should have fallen under scrutiny to the greatest degree were never experienced, and trivial game mechanics were berated obsessively, as if non-conformance with current bad gaming trends wasn't one of the primary goals of Darkfall. Personally, I just got a very bad opinion of Eurogamer. My opinion about Darkfall hasn't changed much at all. |

No it's very busy. I would guess approx 30,000 people on the server with at least 10,000 playing at a time. So about twice the wow server. |

Did you ever see the Sixth Sense movie with Bruce Willies? You know how for 99.8% of it he is a dead guy helping the kid but he doesnt know that he died.
That is darkfall.
Fans want a review but bash it, trash it and hate it when they get one. The game does everything wrong and they excuse it as being very hardcore so it has to be wrong.
I think Mortal Online will be better or just try Mount and Blade |

50 copies in 10 days. thats lower sales than... well... honestly thats lower sales than most everything. worldwide, 5 copies per day, its such an incredibly small number compared to any MMO that has been out for a similar amount of time.
whats that? I can't compare it to games like AION that have sold 1million copies in china alone? ok how about EVE? its been out for 6 years and its population has increased by about 50k in 1 year. that is a net increase, so they've sold more than 50k copies to cover the loss of some players leaving.
50 copies in 10 days, 50,000 copies in 1 year. can we tell which is the success and which is the flop? Everything creates huge amounts of negativity on the internet, that's what the internet is for: Negativity, porn and lolcats. |

Nope going strong, as an invester, I've already recieved a greater return than when I invested in SOE for Vanguard...
Anyways, the game is awasome, come play when some spots open up, till then watch the videos. |

they are not selling boxed or downloaded copies, they are selling spots on their server. It have a limit on around 10k player simultaneosly, so around 12-15k subs. When some of the actual players left, they open the shop to sell that spots again. |

AION reported 1million china accts (thats what, 1-2 months?). EVE reported 300k accts (up from 250k last year). my numbers came from real places.
