Welcome aboard and glad to hear you are enjoying yourself. The MSPs can be from 400 to 1400 meters from a target. The proximity of an enemy building can make someone have to park further than they would want. You can be too close to the enemy bldg and that will effect your msp pos. Curious about the playgate issue. That usualy goes well. Email Bloo@playnet.com with the particulars so they can find out what the issue was. Use the f6 help channel cause newbies are more than welcome and the only dumb question is the one not asked.:-) If you have a joystick, learn to fly offline and they help with driving. You can play with a mouse KB but the JS addons a lot to the game. If you decide to fly, practice offline till you can takeoff and land. We expect you to die fighting but not learning the basics. Remember each aircraft lost takes 7.5 hours to replace. Think it takes about 4 hours for tanks and inf etc. Again, glad you are enjoying yourself! |

First thing I learned in WW2online when I started was this:
I spawned in an AB, ran out waving my rifle wildly. Then splosh, got ran over by a Char tank :) I repeated this a few times, got gunned down from somewhere and I had no clue from where. So then I started sneaking. Moving around with one thought in my head. "How do I move now so I wont be seen or shot?" That is something I repeat myself constanly when I play, how do I move now so I wont be shot or seen?
Think like this, there can be an enemy in every bush, every window, every corner etc. Then start playing with that as your base thought and you suddenly find yourself beeing the one taking out "carless" targets who run in the open etc. I love classic nade traps. Throw a nade through the front door, then go in through the back door and pick off defenders who looking at main door is a classic one.

Other than some spelling issues in your review it doesnt seem bad... a bit one sided. You didnt try the otherside, you didnt try anything else in the game just one part of a really expansive game.
One small thing thats driving me nuts in your review... Its, SAW not SORE SORE- is a wound, a injury. SAW- is a cutting instrament, or past tense to see somthing. "I saw him" And you are Halfway through rank 2. So much crap, so little quality. |

Skip the grammar police. It's a personal review of a game, not a scientific review with empiric data that is going to be published.
Good review, and hope you get into the game friend. Remember that we all experience the game differently, there is no right way or wrong way to play. You play the way you feel is right.
Carry on!
ps. Get a unit to join and it will be much more fun. |

There will always be grammar police around jumping on people for it. Wonder how these people would do if we decided to switch language on a board that is not their primary language, would they still be as "up tight"?

A note on the graphics. You can either choose a shoebox game like Call of Duty with an excellent graphic. But as with all shoebox games can will you only be able to see a few hundred meters, at the best, and you can only play with 31other players, or 63 at the best. In WWII Online is there no limits on how many other players you can with at the same time. In WWII Online can you see infantry and ground vehicle up to 3000 meter, and aircrafts and ships up to 8000 meter. Add to this the sound. In a shoebox game can you only hear what is very close to your self. In WWII Online can you hear hundreds of different sounds at the same time, and from several hundred meters away. Heavy guns is heard from severel kilometers distance. It might sound strange, but if you want to hear lots of sound sources, and at distance to make it more realistic so will it have a penalty on the graphics. At some end is it a good statement to say that other games has a "more realistic graphic", but that graphic makes those games less realistic. At the same time give the "less realistic graphic" in WWII Online the oppertunity to have a really good realistic gameplay in WWII Online. With that said, I am very exited about what CRS can with the graphics after their new graphic engine that will be upgraded with the next patch is introduced. :) |
