Originally posted by Otiro Um thanks I guess, although that really didn't answer my question. Not really interested in what race you made or what little jount you did. I'm asking for specifics. What is in the game now that makes it feature complete to you? A big continent,4 subcontinents, many small islands and a ocean to explore in a seamless world plus zoned dungeons. Freedom to develop my char in any direction i like. A fun and rewarding combat system for the skilled player in wich twitch combat successfully merges with RPG combat elements. Consequences for PvP including full loot for the winner and loose of items for the defeated. A dangerous world rehashes and captures a bit of the "evilness" in tolkiens fantasy about orcs and elves and humans nature. Clan's live. We have a more intense Clan live now then in other MMO's. The need for cooperation is more important then in other MMO's. Everything about clans is amazing in these game. Hope now these answer your question. If not be more specific.

Freedom to develop my char in any direction i like. So basically your saying they have skills set up to be what ever I want? So say I want to be a rogue/thief/or scout, there are skills to disarm traps, or set traps, pick locks etc? Or there are merchant stores that I can build and sell from? A fun and rewarding combat system for the skilled player in wich twitch combat successfully merges with RPG combat elements. Also you lose faction for killing your own race and become a murderer where you cannot enter any city? I am more curious about the "Freedom to develop my character in any direction I like". How are you free to develop? What skills besides the basic weapon, archery, mage, and crafting/harvesting skills are there? |

Now he's going to tell you how "Sword knockback" and "Axe knockback" are two entirely different skills. |

I am more curious about the "Freedom to develop my character in any direction I like". How are you free to develop? What skills besides the basic weapon, archery, mage, and crafting/harvesting skills are there? Answer: None And weapons only have a few skills, archery only has a few skills, mage has a TON of skills but 95% of them are useless and extremely hard to get as well. But really none of that matters, as you need to have ALL of those skills in weapons, archery, and magery or you cannot compete later in the game, thus making the game actually much MORE linear character progression than games like WoW. A great example is if you are playing Rock/Paper/Scissors with someone but you can only use Rock and they can use all three. See my point? As for the rest of what he said: seamless world, lots of games have that but much better worlds with much better flora, monsters, dungeons, etc. - As for combat system, while other games have a very similar system, I find all sorts of combat systems rewarding and fun, my favorite being VG personally.
So basically what he said was blah blah blah .... FULL LOOTING PvP!!!!! ... blah blah blah. |

Out of 100 levels for a skill, only 4 matter. 25, 50, 75, and 100. |

Yep, in reality Darkfall is a level based game, with 4 levels per "skill". Unfortunately, the fanbois live somewhere other than reality. |

Yeah, it is sort of amusing when the "hardcore PvPers" can't handle a little forum PvP. |

I think anyone with more than, say, 2 brain cells to rub together, recognizes the unmitigated BS and spin Darth is spewing out. He's arguing his own opinions in place of addressing objective facts because the facts do not favor DF, and he knows it.

The fact that you use SWG as an example should point out to you that the industry should be passed that point swg was like 5-10 years ago any dev who has to do to me what they did isn't worth the money imo as soe wasn't in hindsight.I personally would not pay anymore for a game as incomplete as swg nor as DF seems to be and we really shouldn't have to |

Notice that every rebuttal by Darth is "I don't miss it" or "I don't need it"? The World According to Darth: If he doesn't need it or miss it, the world doesn't either. He's gotta be the most self-centered, arrogant person I've seen outside of Tasos. |
