Granted I'm only a few hours in at best I wanted to post my initial feelings on the game. First, let me state that the game is beautiful. Flying through space and seeing different elements in space are beautifully done. I was very impressed with the look of space in game so far. I am only through the first set of tutorials and am starting the career path ones so that will give you an idea of how new I'm in but the tutorials are much better than I remember a couple of years ago. I did have trouble locating the debris from a pirate ship I blew up in one tutorial but moved on anyway. The rookie help channel I haven't found as helpful as I thought it would. Lots of questions being asked in it, several I thought "sounded" advanced but what would this noob know? I asked a question a few times but never received a reply, which was kind of disheartening. The interface feels old but works very well. When does walking in stations come into play? Anyway, much better experience so far this time trying Eve than when I did a while ago. My girlfriend was feeling a bit lost but we're both looking forward to the career tutorials and seeing what to do. - My question was how to find my debris from kills, never got answered but I ended up finding it when I kileld a saboteur in a tutorial - I am not sure about learning skills...all I seem to have are shields and things like that but I couldn't find learning skills anywhere and everyone says to level them first. |

Hello! I've played this game for a few years! I'd recommend you join the player corp Eve University - they will answer all your questions and introduce you to all aspects of the game. They have an excellent reputation recognised by everyone. They can be slightly regimented for some people at fleet level, so if they are not for you, don't worry about it! Walking in stations should be introduced this Winter. To find the learning skills, open the markets tab and buy them at a station. |

ive sat in newbie help trying to answer questions before, but it literally scrolls so fast that you cannot keep up.
when you kill a ship, it will leave behind a wreck, the icon looks like an triangle pointing down. if the triangle is empty it has no loot, if the triangle is full, lots of loot |

Ah thanks guys, will check those out. I read about Eve University as well from Cosy's signature and planned on joining it. I assume we're dumped into a starting one or something? There was a tab named corp lighting up a lot. Nah game seems pretty decent so far...something tells me I should have hopped in a long time ago though instead of giving up so early :) |

when you start you get put into an NPC corp that keeps you safe from wardecs. if you join a player corp and then leave it, you get put back into an NPC corp. pod pilots cannot exist except for inside corporations. |
