CoH/CoV has always been good after a couple, mostly because of the corny premise and roleplay possibilities. Also, you don't lose much if you blow it. My clubbing days might be behind me, but "Saturday Night's Alright for (virtual) Fighting". |

And what drug are you talking about exactly? "As it will help make you into a man of knowledge and a impeccable warrior. You will see how this world is a plastic doll house illusion" Dude, could you possibly be talking about CRACK?!? I hate to burst your bubble, but this world is NOT a plastic doll house illusion. Seems to me like you need a wake-up call, man. Crack kills. lol. Personally, I don't recommend drugs to anyone. I've done my share, and I tell you from experience, there is no light at the end of that tunnel. =)
Anyways, I've played Ultima Online drunk a few times and it was pretty fun!
First...this is the best thread EVER on these forums...at last I've found people like me...
Neverland? Sad is that you judge what others do....drinking and playing any game is always fun. Most times more fun than not. I don't get blitzed....but I relax more and then seem to have better reflexes.

Playing stoned used to bring me lots of fun, I won't lie. =)
Anyways, I've played Ultima Online drunk a few times and it was pretty fun! That's when I'd bring out the 1337 talk. Haha!

God, being cool can be so complicated. ^_^;; |

Video games + liquor = fun times. I love playing MMOs at night when 90% of the players are drunk or high. I've had some pretty funny conversations. But you really have to be drunk to appreciate it.

Experience shows that atleast playing a monk (heal/prot in GW) in GvG is better when intoxicated. This was a real tournament match. I was kinda worried before the match, but damn he played good in the end. I figure that playing while drunk might have the same effects as drunken programming. xkcd.com/323/ You only need to hit the right spot! First off, I'm in agreement. There's NOTHING sad about sitting at a computer and playing a game drunk. My wife and I do it all the time just to laugh at the stupid stuff that happens. >.< I'm pretty sure I've played CoH, DAoC, SWG, GW, AoC, Warhammer and LotR:O all drunk at least once. I can honestly say, it adds to the experience so much, haha. Some of my best memories are when I'd just had a couple bottles and was just messing around. What could be better? You're relaxed, you stop caring about pretensions and you just do what seems fun at the time. I think everybody that drinks alcohol at all should try it at least once! Especially if you're going to bother to bash the people who do it. Oh and... yeah. This is the GREATEST THREAD EVER! Thank you for starting this! =D I once believed that playing games was more important than real life. OMFG I was wise back then. What happened? |

Hey I like beer, wine, and whiskey. Usually I only have a little bit. Sometimes I have a lot, and sometimes when I do that I am playing games. End of story. Sent me an email if you want me to mail you some pizza rolls. |

God, being cool can be so complicated. ^_^;; Well you can piss on the doormat but only if you are in public because if you do so while on a pc then you are a pathetic loner. |

We even used to play PnP DnD and get the buzz on, we'd actually be getting drunk and smoking herb in game and had enhancements and or penalties for how messed up we were. Call me a dork, nerd, idiot, all I can say I had the coolest barfight ever while getting drunk and playing DnD. |

Drunk UO is a blast. You always wake up with random items and a red name, thinking... shit... who's house or what players did I loot?
Drunken Counter Strike is great, as is Call of Duty. The best drug to do while playing a game(WoW)... is acid. I went on a one man raid for an hour and a half and fought incredible things. Or so I thought. I woke up dead in the Searing Gorge, my body in the UC elevator, and low level green gear instead of purple gear. Also... playing WoW on ecstasy, no matter the amount of time, will forever ruin the game. The miniscule amount of enjoyment the game gives will forever be lost to that 20 minutes of bliss you managed to stay focused on the game. Heaven and Hell is debatable - Karma is not. |

Hahaha! How can I piss on the doormat while on a pc?!? Laptop with a wireless connection? To be honest, I don't have to piss anywhere to not be a pathetic loner. Come to Vegas, I'll show you how to have fun on the strip.. Without pissing on any tires or doormats. ; ) |

World War II Online drunk and on TS with a squad (who are also generally 'merry') is some of the most fun i've had while gaming. The combination of action, intoxication and big powerful toys to have fun with hits the sweet spot for me. :) |

That sounds pretty funny actually. I have always much prefered getting stoned while playing games rather than getting drunk. It just seems to mesh with the gaming experience much better.......well.....sort of anyway. After having a good smoke it takes me bloody ages to get anything done as I keep getting distracted by the pretty visuals lol. I got a warning from one of the moderators on this site actually for mentioning weed in this thread a few days ago and it seems that my previous post was removed. Thats really weird and particularly sad considering that alchohol is far more harmful than weed and is a big contributor to violent crime. Its also responsible for a number of deaths each year while canabis isnt. Hmmm I think some of the moderators on this site could do with a bit of training so they can do their jobs properly.......or maybe the moderator was sozzled out of his mind when he gave me his silly warning. |
