What MMORPG is the most fun if you're tanked?

I played Eve last night while I was drinking and the those damn warp tunnels made me feel sick.  Plus trying to read the small fonts with everything spinning wasn't working out too well.

CoH was a lot of fun when drinking.  I would be cheering for myself, screaming at the monitor.  My voice steadily increases in volume with every beer so by the end of the night they can hear me in the next zip code.

I've never played an MMORPG while the bubbles arose, but Guitar Hero..

I don't drink alcohol but you might want to try drugs , although I daresay they ruin the immersion. Because everything, even reality, starts to appear as an illusion if you do the right drugs and the right amount.

I always considered being by yourself drunk infront of a PC as something pretty sad. Back when i was younger drinking went hand in hand with clubbing or partying at somebodys house. Being drunk infront of a PC screen by yourself playing a game is just sad sad sad...lonely and sad

I used to like to play UO when I came home drunk from a bar. There have been several mornings where my Wife woke up, saw a red-named ghost in the middle of a field on my screen and knew that would be a morning I'd be waking up a few hours later than usual.

I have to agree.

However none of my friends will play a MMO.  They think its stupid.  I am 63.  Anyway I have on occasion imbibed a little too much and played a MMO.  It puts a new slant on the game.

But you are correct it is sad.

rofl D: I was not really serious about the drug thing. Although drugs can be good to help you relax in RL since they can make you see everything as an illusion and the material , external world as almost a plastic toybox. and we are toy models/dolls. ROFL :D Yeah, drugs can give you some scary experiences but some wild ones none the less. Such as seeing reality as an uncanny valley.

I have come home for the bar and played EQ.  It was fun, people in my guild could tell right away because I would go wondering off during the pull and not come back or if I was puller I would try to solo the mob instead of bring it back to camp.   A few times I passed out while in guild groups and woke up in the morning standing in the guild lobby (bind spot) trying to figure out what the hell happened and how I got there.

As for drinking alone, hey sometimes other people are not around and I feel like a beer, how is that sad?  Do you drink pop or water alone? its the same thing.

Who said anything about being alone?

I'm married and have a family now, my bar hopping and clubbing days are few and far between.  If I want to have a drink in my house and play a game what is so sad there?

PvP while drunk can be pretty hilarious, especially while in vent with other drunk people.  And I don't see a problem with it personally-  when I go out, I am usually the one driving which means no beverages for me, but if I stay at home and play games (usually with the same people in vent that I'd be at a bar with anyway) it's the same thing minus the big bar tab... not to mention the greatly reduced chance of doing something I'll regret the next day. 

Although on that note, and from personal experience, I'd suggest staying away from any forums while drunk, these in particular.  Whatever crazy nonsense you posted while hammered will still be there the next day

I thought you said tanked and not "had a drink". Tanked implies excessively drunk or just drunk in general. Regardless of what you were that is entirely your own business. I just pointed out my opinion about it which all in all you shouldn't really care too much about.

I recommend you try some heavier drugs. As it will help make you into a man of knowledge and a impeccable warrior. You will see how this world is a plastic doll house illusion , if you take the right drugs and enough of them.

Personally, I don't recommend drugs to anyone.  I've done my share, and I tell you from experience, there is no light at the end of that tunnel.  As of now, I don't smoke pot anymore, but I'm pretty sure I will in the future.  Playing stoned  used to bring me lots of fun, I won't lie.

Anyways, I've played Ultima Online drunk a few times and it was pretty fun!  That's when I'd bring out the 1337 talk. Haha!

but i dragged them into an adventure while i was drunk, suddenly, it became a real adventure, we were running for our lives and even met a guy who took us all into space to another planet...just because of drunken me, and an obnoxious me, great times..!!!

First...this is the best thread EVER on these forums...at last I've found people like me...

Neverland?  Sad is that you judge what others do....drinking and playing any game is always fun. Most times more fun than not. I don't get blitzed....but I relax more and then seem to have better reflexes.
