Now I'm sure I can do some searching and find the article that spoke of the ability to "choose a second class at level 10". Originally this was supposed to be one of the other classes, sort of like the way a player takes on a second class in Guild Wars. But now it's just advancing within the same class that you already are.
One of the things that got me pumped about this was the possibility to eventually choose one of the other classes instead of being all warrior, scout, etc. I wanted a warrior with some healing powers too ( which would have been choosing the priest as my second class ).
Now, does this sound familiar to anyone or am I just going completely bat sh*t crazy!?

I found an article on STIGMA STONES but it only "theorizes" as to the equipping of other classes skills be a "possibility"... but nothing in stone yet.
Do you remember where you may have heard of getting other class' skills? A magazine maybe? |

It's not duel class but duel welding, and yes it is a stigma for Gladiators so they can use 2 x 1 handed swords. They drop from mob's or you can buy them in Auction House. There never was duel class option. Duel class option would be a joke to balance. imo

Chosing a second class at lvl 10 its a feature of Realm of Magic, not Aion. In Aipn you have five slots for Stigma Stones, which give you skills for other clases |

i've never heard of this, i am pretty sure they never intended to do something like that. and stigmas are not cross-class, stigmas are very well defined abilities that are only available to one class, they do not come from another class and most of them do not provide something that you would expect from another class but just strengthen the abilities of your class. |

I played Korean Aion. Was a Warrior Class. Got to lvl 10 and then had to do a quest to be able to keep advancing as well as evolve into a new class. Thats right you don't have dual classes....never was mentioned. Maybe you are thinking of a different game mate. Once you reach level 10 as Warrior or whatever class you have to choose between two classes to evolve into to keep on advancing. Untill you do choose one of these classes by doing a quest you will not be able to keep lvling (Advancing your character). From a lvl 10 warrior you can either become a gladiator or a templar.
Hope this allows you to be aware how the class system works. |

I respectfully disagree. There are currently stigmas available in-game which will allow a cloth-wearing caster such as a Spiritmaster to equip heavy armor. That is technically a cross-class skill that would not otherwise be available to the Spiritmaster. That's only one example, but there are more like this. No godless person can comprehend those minute distinctions |

Im not sure if this is what he is talking about, but all classes start as one of a handful of basic classes Warrior Scout Mage Priest
for instance Scouts can become rangers or assassins. Mages can become Sorcerers or Spiritmasters Warriors can become Gladiators or Templars Priests can become clerics or and I cant remember the other one... |

When you level up, each class have a list of skills that they accumilate. I think each one of those skills you get can be dropped as a stigma stone and eqipped by another class. There are 5 stigma slots to allow for several different skills to be equipped. I am not sure how the system works itself because I never had the chance to play for an extended period of time but I know at least this much. MMOs Played: I can no longer list them all in the 500 character limit. |

This was removed during CB testing (there was too many 2 handed poleaxe welding assassins running around pwning everyone). The Dev's said it was just to hard to balance it at the time but they did say it might come back in the future. there are no cross-class stigmas, not weapons, not armor, not skills, stigmas are simply further skills which let you customize your class. |

There is another feature that might cause a lot of confusion regarding cross-class equipment. I believe at level 30 you gain the right to copy the look of any piece of body gear onto another, it would be entirely possible to copy the look of a plate chest piece onto your robe and appear like you are wearing plate. I'm not level 30 yet so I haven't been able to test out this feature myself, it could be that only robes could be copied onto robes, leather to leather etc. I'm not sure. She cuts me into a thousand beautiful pieces... |

Somewhat correct. It's just a class from the base class to your main class, not dual-classing. At level 10 you choose whether you want your Scout to be a Ranger or Assassin, and whatever the branches are for the other base classes. |

Thanks for all the responses.
Yes I have decided I did indeed misunderstand the "second class" thing. Jumped to conclusions I suppose. That... and I was really looking forward to a healing warrior. lol
Oops. Sorry for the confusion. |
