You can’t ever win if you’re always on the defensive, to win, you have to attack. |

Mage/Priest - Dual class in Runes Of Magic. This is a powerful combo that allowed me to solo mostly anything in the normal maps 4 levels higher then me Weapon Master - Asda Story. After i finished Cash shoping my char i could solo everything and my return dmg on attacks was so strong i could stand in a mob and let them hit me till they died. The armor had so may bounus stats i would regen faster then they could hurt me. |

Best class I ever played: 1. Enchanter - Eq1 2. Bard - EQ1 Those are about the only two I ever played that took much skill to play and were very rewarding when played well....... |

Vanguard Bloodmage, followed closely by the Vanguard Disciple. Healing without that healbot feeling. |

A simple truth-"What people want and what is good for an mmo is not always the same thing"-mrw0lf |

Minstrel from DAOC. Not the greatest of killers, but it had a utility belt of useful tools such as stealth, stuns, healing, mana regan, imparting speed to your group and even had some nice combat moves. I've never found a class quite like it and would play one again if I ever went back.

Looks like a majority of folks like the hybrid classes or at least ones with a good bit of utility. Seems like the bard from EQ1 is pretty popular. I never played EQ1 and it is kinda hard to go back and "catch" the spirit of the game when it is so old and the "newness" just isn't there anymore. I also enjoyed the Heretic (for the sheer utility & damage) and the Minstrel from DAoC. From a different game, I think the WoW ret pally in it's current form is quite enojoyable as well. I would love to see a Friar-type class but without the stave (though it did rock pretty hard). More of a friar that used martial arts (like a monk, but one that could heal and self buff). I tried the monk in EQ2, but never really got into it because I started the game so far behind everyone else. |

ive played a tone of mmos and i'ts a big toss up eq1 bard is amazing the only game that made a orignal bard well done , Also Eq1 cleric is amazing , but realy every eq1 class was very well done ive never stuck with one toon so long in a game hell im still playing my shaman after 7 years of playing , So if i must say a class outside of eq i would go with DnD online Wizard that class is true power! |

My all time 3 fav classes: Thane in DAOC - true melee/caster hybrid. Throw lightning bolts at the target, PBAOE it, melee it until dead. Merc/Friar (tie) in DAOC - My first classes. Loved the Merc for sheer damage and the weapon styles and the friar for being the class that really got me into hybrids. Shaman in WOW - I love this class. Fast-paced, fun to play, lots of tricks and abilities, just all around fun. |

The most fun I've had just because of the class I played was the Defiler in EQ2. When the game first launched I absolutely adored the Archetype system and the way the Defiler functioned just made it so fun for me. They were really labelled as Healers but did nothign but buff and debuff. We had maybe 2-3 wards and a couple of heals but nothing compared to a straight up healer. Aaaall debuffs that made enemies so weak the group had nothing to heal. A very proactive, rather than reactive, healer. |

Red Mage - Final Fantasy XI I <3ed my RDM... I was one hard nut to crack... with all the Buffs you can put on yourself to keep yourself alive... I took a Dynamis Lord, Oblivion Smash to the Face... and Survived while everyone else around me was wiped out in one shot... (Granted he spamed it and i wasnt so lucky the second go around :D) I could tank stuff as RDM/Ninja that other Tank classes would wipe to in a hurry, expesually in Campain battles. Also the Classes ablities to Heal, Magic Damage, Carry Med grade Armor and wield a Sword/Dagger... and one thing that makes RDM the best FFXI Class.................... The RDM Pimp Hat... oh ya you know your jealous :) |

Depends if we talking skill based games or level based games. The custom Nox Mage in Ultima Online was easily the funnest. All the wonders of a caster and sly deadliness of a rogue character. People think your a normal mage till you pull out the poison and take em by surprise If we are talking literal classes on a level based system. Destroyer Lineage II. Big and badass. Could have 3 people beaten on ya and still hold your own as you trot along. Eventually you'll corner the fast little stormchasers and treasure hunters and bring upon them sure doom. |

The Light Side Alchy was extremely fun to play in AC2 if you played right. Currently the RuneKeeper in LotRO is a blast to play. Very versitile and can go from an extreme dps'r to a decent healer in a pinch...depending on traits one has slotted. if you have time to re-trait before an instance then healing is awesome. |

I would have to say Scout in DAoC. Arrows ftw! Don't need no damn magic. |
