I played WAR in the beta weekend and for the first couple months after it released. I liked it alot, but it lagged like crazy, especially in keep sieges.
I just came back to it, and I am experiencing almost no lag. I'll get a half second of lag when I go to a new zone... BUT- I did a keep seige with a full warband and didn't lag. I went to Altdorf and The Innevitable City and didn't lag. I did the dungeon Gunbad with a full warband and didn't lag.
Also, I have a dual core 1.8 gig proccessor, 2 gigs of ram, and a 256meg video card. When I logged in for the first time, the game told me it is adjusting my settings for my pc. I haven't touched the video settings since and I am running it great.

Nope. I'm not lying. If you are lagging, try turning your graphics down.
I'm running smoothly now, and I'm having fun. My highest lvl toon is a 26 Magus. But I have multiple order and destro toons in tier 2. If you don't believe me, then it sucks to be you. lol |

Warhammer has never run poorly for me. ... Playing: Star Wars: The Old Republic, occasionally TERA. Waiting For: Guild Wars 2, and Elder Scrolls Online. |

My spec: Intel E8400, 3 gig ram, geforce 9600, win vista. One of the reason i quit is because the lag, stuttering even doing pve solo. Tried the trial 2 weeks ago, same problem. And trust me when i say ive tried everything being suggested RIP Orc Choppa |

hehe, WAR is not lagging... good joke
Only why youre not laging is, youre not in T4, T1-T3 is not real WAR, its just training area for alts, without WAR, which is "everywhere". |

Lag is almost a non issue now. The only time I see lag anymore is when we fight 6 warbands vs. 6 warbands ( thats 144 players vs. 144 players)
For PvP THIS IS THE ONLY AND BEST GAME OUT THERE RIGHT NOW. |

I haven't had that much of a problem with lag, and in my experience, the lag I did have has been mostly eliminated over the last few months. Perhaps it's finally time to retire the Commodore 64.... :) Hell hath no fury like an MMORPG player scorned. |

Only problem I have as far as lag and graphics is likely due to the fact that my graphics card is one of the ones that requires a direct feed from the power supply, but the power supply I have doesnt have a line for it. I experience lag here and there, but for the most part it runs pretty smoothly. Only times I have realy bad lag is when there are way too many people in one area, or if there are alot of spell effects going off at once. |

Warhammer sure came a long way since release, the regular patches make a whole lot of difference. Mythic fixed more in the first six months then most mmorpg developers fix in a year. I for one have no issues with it all all. I do keeps, forts and main city defence and main city wb's. Anyone with a reasonable system will be able to play this game without any problems. Sue it might slow down for you if you get into battles with over 100 people on each side, but what game won't.

No no, the fan runs fine. But the graphics card is made to pull most of it's power directly from the power supply rather than through the motherboard. Without that cable hooked up to the power supply, it still runs, but just backs down to lower settings than it could be running at so that it draws less power. So far WAR has been the only game where it seems to make a diffirence (I think). Spore, Dawn of War 2, Oblivion, all run fine as is. |

You live in cloud cuckoo land. This game promotes zerg warfare, where mindless and skilless players can congregate. If this is what you want, fair play. Personally, I like a game with thought and strategy - Warhammer has neither. |

No the OP is right...they've done some serious game optimizing since i played last fall. I can run the game smooth as butter now.
HOWEVER.
The game is still to boring for words to describe. I dont plan on resubbing. |

Are you a real poster or somebody working for Mythic's marketing department??
1) Once you get to T4, you're going to need to run full effects if you want to see Rain of Fire or Pit of Shades. 2) The last live update that included the twisting tower scenario was a HUGE lagfest & each side was fielding less than a warband. 3) There is no small group PVP, go to their boards, it's a common complaint. WAR is a game about zerging. More than two warbands & game lags horribly.
