The original SimCity was my first "real" computer game. I tried a couple of the later editions but none had quite the magic of the first. I'm specifically curious about the pacing of the game: Can I log in and let it run in the background while I go about other business, or do I have to give it my undivided attention? Sims was a little too much of an attention-whore for my tastes. Also, does anything happen with/to your city while you're offline? Bah, I wish I 1) weren't at work and 2) weren't going out of town this weekend. ------------- The less you expect, the more you'll be surprised. Hopefully, pleasantly so.

I remember hearing stuff along the lines of: Single player everything you'd expect along with adjustable time, cheats, or whatever. Online "slow time" even when you're not online, economic bonuses, social networking tools(big part), and similar.

Game seems very refreshing from our usual combat games.
