I'm intrigued. The original SimCity was my first "real" computer game. I tried a couple of the later editions but none had quite the magic of the first. I'm specifically curious about the pacing of the game: Can I log in and let it run in the background while I go about other business, or do I have to give it my undivided attention? Sims was a little too much of an attention-whore for my tastes. Also, does anything happen with/to your city while you're offline?

Been following this one for about a month now. Game seems very refreshing from our usual combat games.
