Yeah, I get that feeling, too. It feels like AC.. but.. in AC everything was NEW and seeing a Tusker/Olthoi for the first time was great. But until I got to see the scary stuff in the high end, I know I have to kill the low level stuff to build up. Currently playing Real Life.. http://i36.tinypic.com/2uyod3k.gif For all your stalking needs.. |

Don't macro. We have enough cheaters in the game as it is. Regarding gear, mounts, etc., you can join your clan's groups when they go PVE farming and get yourself geared up, without them actually giving you anything. For mounts, just spend a couple hours herbing and have one of your clanmates make you a mount with your steedgrass.

I have a wife, a job, and a 3month-old son. i highly recommend macroing the dull stuff while you do RL stuff so you can do the fun stuff with the time leftover.
Very interesting comment coming from you, considering the discussion we had in the other thread. I thought the systems we fun and rewarding, so macroing was not needed? |

I also have a wife, I as well have 3 kids, and I m a chef at a multi care facility/manager. In otherwords I work alot. That said macroing in a game to keep up is a joke, if you don t have time to play a game then don t. Macroing is a joke IMO. |

I played DF for about 2 weeks at first i thought hey maybe this could work, then marcoing and speed hacking started. Well it happens, then it just kept dragging on. Iam not going to play a game that i spend 4 hours a day playing havesting fight or whatever and this fruit that dosnt want to put the time in sets up a macro program i understand there is marcoing in alot of game but when a game is based on crafted armor and crafted items it sucks for the person that spend the time to the person that is lazy. I do understand that people have jobs family but its a game to be enjoyed by all if u have time then play if not then dont. Speed hacking dont even have to say much about that how long it take before they do something about it 3 people rolling 20 plus people that dont want to hack hmm BS. The game play not bad it has ok graphics and some good quests. The faction for the races is broke someone that kills other races for awhile can then go back and murder his race wtf the logic in that. Dont get me wrong i love pvp and pve as long as it fair or atleast semi. |

One more thing DF promised hundred of skills and spells and whatever else. There about 40 for each lol that a fare cry from the hundred they promised. For Solo play there is non or at best very little. Guild up or Die. |

I played for the first free month. I was looking forward to the game since 2005 but over the last year i lost my hope. I was pleasantly surprised and had a lot of fun in my time. The PvP and exploring the world, sneaking around, stealthing up on people was fun and exciting, but very time consuming. In the end i just wasnt bothered leaving town i was just chatting, so i decided to sell my account and maybe come back later (hopefully with some way to sell stuff other than "WTS", as i like trading but not spamming chat all day and waiting around all day). Also in the end i didnt feel my character was progressing much. It didnt feel like many of the skills made a difference at all, although i appreciate that a newbie can beat a high skilled character, I wanted it to be more of an rpg where i could shape my character. Although its a non-class based system nearly everyone has the same skills and fights the same ie archery, side swipe melee and mana missile.
