The PvP system was peretty lame. I'm not sure what they are oing to do with gear but they best not add damage as this game is a two shot fest atm.  It is lenear for the most part from 1-80. There are side levels but after traveling 30 minutes, to one itdisapoimnted me because ithe side content was about as big as a yetti cave in WoW. 

The system is bettor optomized and graphics are good but dang my guild lost their city and many guilds lost their  place when the servers merged into 3, including mine, 

I don't mean to be a naysayer but 5 PvP levels are pertty boting, the end game raid encounters are trivial, and the gear seems gimp.

Please show me the positives at end tgame.

ot: I just never got into the game. It wasn't a bad game but it didnt immerse me so I just never log'ed in again.

Finaticd showing you the positives sides of end game won't work, you clearly don't like the game so nothing we say here will change your opionion. It is obvious Age of Conan isn't a game that you will like no matter what, unless they change the entire game. You have been more or less negative to Funcom in majority of your post's repeating the same old arguments so what's the goal with this post? There are other post's out there that you have replied in that contains the answers you want.

About the loss of guildcity, do you refer to the battlekeeps? If so all guilds lost their battlekeeps, I cannot however remeber someone complaining about loosing their guild city tho, all cities was just moved to new instances, once 1 was full they simply created a new.

I tryed the trial. I thought the game was excellant. My computer is 2 years old it ran the game like a champ in DX9 every setting maxed at 1920x1200. After I left tortage I had the odd little hic -up, about the same as any game.
Never ran into one bug in 28 levels. Really awesome of funcom to not put a level cap on the trial. I got to see enough of the game that I think its definitly worth a sub to see the rest of it.
Fly fishing season is just starting and no game can pull me away from that. but I think when fall comes all be subbing up and checking out the rest of the game.
Was kinda sad to see the 7 days come to an end.

I don't think it'd be hard to get level 80 in 7 days, espeically if you spend some time looking to see where good spots are to level, or if you have help.

I have just finished the 7 day trial and TBH i have already ordered the game as i was impressed to the max, this will be the first pay-to-play game for me but to say the least there is so much to do and the graphics run SWEET on my system, and LVL 80 in 7 days?!?!? please tell me how, i have stopped up until 6am everyday this last week and only got to LVL 30

I played at release and really enjoyed leveling 1-80, but after that the pvp stunk, PvE raiding was way too buggy.

Nearly 1 year later, the game runs smoother, crafting still sucks. Endgame is better. 

Important NOTE: There is a revamp on the test servers thats releasing soon, so it could be the thing that gets some of the 400k subscribers that cancelled after 2 months.

Positives:

I enjoy playing this game in a solomode, just leveling.

I like the classes and combat system alot.

I enjoy the maturity of the content

The graphics are the best on the market.

Negatives:

Its very linear

Still has some bugs

Endgame is lacking

PvP is still lacking

You kind of explained why you love it so much in your own post. It's your first pay to play MMO, if you've been playing all free to play MMOs you will always find the professional pay to plays to be of amazing quality. Once you've played a couple pay to play you quickly notice when things are not as good as they should be.

On a more serious note though, a lot of us has come back to find the game we wanted AoC to be in the first place. Many left after a buggy launch that left some permanently bitter. As of today, AoC is the best mmo imo, and there are still major revamps on the horizon.

Remember...any game that you feel is fun at first, or is still fun, even though it is the first time you played that game...you actually are not enjoying yourself. Stop playing and go play more games in that genre first.

Fair points from all! the only reason i not played any pay-to-play games is because if im honest i resent having to buy a licence then continually buy the same licence, but saying that as you all say im a noob to this genre of game, been on pc's though since oooh let me see 1980's lol! warcraft looks too cartoony to me so that puts me off! will stick with AOC as it has all i want so far in a game! cheers for the feedback peeps!

I'd disagree.  Although it wasn't enough to make me buy the game, I enjoyed the demo.  The graphics are superb.  The performance was great.  The story was very well constructed...at least in the beginning...I can't speak for later in the game.   The violence was fantastic.

However, I felt the combat was too complicated...I don't mind a challenge or meaningful combat system, but I would like a functional turtorial at least.  I am not a fan of level based games because they seem kind of hokey to me.   However, for a level-based game it was pretty good in the beginning...I'm sure it turns into the same gear-grind like every other MMORPG that has recently released:(

All in all, I recommend this demo to anyone that has a good system that would like to give it a test.

The presenter should also show a non-bias to the subject.

For the OP, his goal has been pretty clear from the beginning. He has shown an untoward hatred toward Funcom and AoC in specifics. Even though he has tried the demo (trial is what he meant I believe, not the Demonologist, in which Demo is used for short), he still carries a bias, as stating anything about endgame when playing a trial is suspect.

I pretty much question any data he presents here, and I think for anyone who REALLY wants to know how the game is now, can find out for themselves,

We know the OP hates the game. I guess I do not understand why they keep trying the game(and of course continue to post this type of junk)..

Alright, then I'll pick up where he left off. He seemed to be saying that PvP was weak and poorly implemented. I will assume that he's talking about a PvE server rather than a FFA PvP one. I have to agree, on a PvE server. PvP Minigames are pathetically useless and have no incentive whatsoever. PvP levels? Could've fooled me, I didn't even know they existed until my third Minigame. Eagerly awaiting higher level siege PvP to see if it improves, but as it stands right now, my PvP experience in AoC has been seriously lacking.

OP also says people get 2-shot. This is also true (without healing of course).

Besides that though, his post does seem trollish. I know you're all going to tell me to go to a PvP server before I start judging, and I will, but from what I can gather between the PvP Minigame combat and the PvE combat, all it will be is a bunch of nerds running around, finishing you off after you survive an encounter with multiple mobs, which is very difficult in AoC.

Not sure what he means by side content, but leveling is linear by design so "linear leveling" isn't much of an argument.

I believe once he has got to around level 50 he'll be ready to cancel. Much like the 500k+ did in the first couple of months, I'm not arguing that he doesn't like it now. In fact Tortage was a great experience, it's the rest of the game that is utter wank and that becomes more evident the longer you play (in my opinion!).

I was a rabid AoC fanbois at launch, I defended this game against the haters before launch more so than most do now. Hell I even got a temporary ban for vehmently defending this game in these forums. Then I played it, so I am giving my opinion that this game is an instanced turd with more loading screen than flys buzzing around a cow's arse on a hot summers day.
