I think it never was intended as a selling point in the first place, however it was something media focused a lot on in interviews. There is some nudity in the game, but I would say the reason it is rated mature is more due to the blood and gore you see at some places then a tit here and there. |

The game is much better than it used to be. Wich doesnt really say much because when it got live it was horrendous... Anyway, atleast the game installed and patched correctly without the use of magic, wichdoctors or chicken heads this time. Allthough it still refuse to make a shortcut on my desktop.. The game is still fine in Tortage, and it runs smoother than it used to do. But i still miss the freedom i get in other games. Take wow for example..You can say whatever you like about wow, but atleast in that game, you have a feeling of being in a land or a map. You travel from place to place and have a feeling of where you are on the map. In AoC you dont travel in a map like that, it is more traveling from one zone to another, again and again. How far is it to travel from Tortage to Conall Valley? One loading screen.. How far is it from Crossroads to Thousand needles? It depends on your level and flightpaths ofcourse but you still, even at level 80 have a feeling of having to travel there. I miss that. And when you get to the zone, you run in trails. You go off the marked road, and you meet some kind of wall, be it a mountain or anything else (its usually a mountain). Its not fitting in a game that is suposed to be about Conan. Conan is about exploring, about going places that others doesnt dare. Not on a trail behind the rest of the server. Atleast thats my opinion ;) And then you have the armor and clothing issue. I still dont get why it is that the NPC's have all those cool clothings but the players have basically 3 options, either light brown, dark brown or grey to choose from. Ive been reading the discussions between those that dont think armor should mean much and those that think it should when it comes to survivability and such, but you have mostly missed the part about people wanting to look good, and most important, they dont want to look like clones. Several times i ran into people 10 levels higher than me, looking exactly like me. I lost some of the will to play after that, knowing that they had done every quest and every zone i would do in the next 10 levels, without getting any new different looking armor pieces. And the combat system...After a while i realized that i wasnt really looking at myself when i was fighting. I was looking at the buttons and the arrows indicating what i had to press next. It reminded me of the remake of Pirates where you had to dance with the governors daughters to get information from them and stuff. You or rather atleast i, had to concentrate about pushing the right buttons so much that i dident really look at my character dancing. It could just as well have been a black screen with the arrows popping up in the middle. And thats the feeling i get when i use AoC's combat system too. Its not more advanced than.."other".. games, its just more annoying. Anyway, the game is obviously not for me. Still its worth a try, after all its free..If you like it, good for you. |

AoC is a good game, its just poorly designed and on the verge of ignorance as Funcom has announced their new MMO they are working on. AoC launched with way too many broken game mechanics and far too many bugs and broken quests. It's been a year since it launched and they still have obvious issues that were known since then. Again, the idea of AoC is superb, but Funcom just seems to have a hard time putting ideas in-game from pen and paper. |

Well you cannot say that the game is crap. It has some good aspects like graphics and sound, but it lacks in almost all other areas. There are many much better choices on the market today imo. Maybe Funcom can make AoC fun someday but today.. go for something else. |

I think this game is absolutely incredible and for me it's far better than anything else on the market. However it is a game that seems to split opinions and I'm aware that it's not for everyone so the best thing anyone can do is just give it a try! |

AoC offers me more of what I enjoy, and I prefer it over anything out right now. The above items is why...it has more to offer. Cheers |
