Why is this posted in EVE General? Read the forum header before you post next time, it saves the staff here time and effort that could be better spent improving the site itself or providing actual content for the readers. It's a no contest comparison anyways, AOC destroys Requiem hands down. |

Wrong forum bro. Also: EvE Online :P The rules of Debate are really simple; once you have to stoop to insults instead of facts, logic, or reason to try and win your argument, you've lost. |

The cumbersome combat system and all the instancing was a huge turn off for me in Conan while Requiem is a free to play game and does feel like one. Up until Runes of Magic I held Requiem as the best F2P mmos out there. Conan just feels like a ripoff at 15$ a month to me. Conan may be better now though since they have been making changes and I will probably check it out again at some point in time. For me for 15$ a month I would play Warhammer over Conan or Requiem but since you asked this in the Eve forums. Eve is still better than all Edit: |

Depends on what you are interested in I guess. PvE wise AoC is much better in terms of leveling and quests. In Requiem you gain experience from PvE and PvP which goes in the same experience pool though. Requiem is unique in terms of PvP. You do not know the level of the opposition for starters. There are several builds that are considered cookie cutter but some players do spec different and can lead to some interesting challenges. Requiem in the early game is skewed a bit with the cash shop items but at high levels the cash shop items are not that big of a bonus. In AoC you become a murderer it is not that big of a thing but in Requiem if you obtain murder status you screw yourself in getting into towns and there is no place to sell items outside of towns. Player seem to play much more fair in Requiem. There are ganks but not near as bad as AoC. In AoC if you die it is not that big of a thing but in Requiem at high levels where you grind a week to make 10% a death (% experience loss) can set you back days. I personally find Requiem much better than AOC in terms of play value and I paid a subscription to Requiem and not just play free. I don't play any MMO right now but I do recommend Requiem as a decent MMO where the cash shop is not going to determine the outcome in the end game. |
