As for the alt vs. main discussion above. If you play a few hours a week like me, you could have played since release and still not have completed the content, especially if you elect to level in the crafting and diplomacy spheres. If people play hard-core then alts are a lot of fun because the classes are very unique and you can level to 50 again and not do the same content twice until you get to level 45. Unless someone is playing really hard-core, there is no way they can consume content faster than it's being released. For example, it was just last week when the first person completed the all the Shores of Darkness quest lines. |

Where you there in the beginning? When the players was receiving double xp on the weekends? Do you know they had to put a small box for clicking off xp? Thats how bad it was, people was leveling faster then they could the quest. The whole game is very unbalanced, so please stop with the hardcore stuff, you have no idea what your talking about. Go play EQ2 and then compare it with VG, EQ2 gets 1000 times more updates then VG does. VG is game filler for their station pass titles, and it will always be a game filler.

I've played since release, and I was there in the beginning when they were really struggling. I remember the double exp weekends well and the free play months all over the place. Since then they've slowed the exp curve and they've added the no exp ability so that friends don't out-level those that they play with. Since then, they've added Ancient Port Warehouse, overland mobs, Bridge of Destiny and Isle of Gazamut. There are very, very few raid guilds that have conquered all of this raid content. For those that like to raid this had brought entire raid guilds back to the game. There was a big gap between APW and all the new stuff that resulted in hard-core raiders to leave at that time. For non-raiders, I don't know what else to say. I've played for 2-years, mostly on 1 main and don't play hard-core. I still have plenty of stuff to do with my main. That said, Pantheon of the Ancients, the level cap increase and alternate abilities are around the corner which will be the biggest content addition to date. |

This game is not meant to be played for long term, it just a fortune cookie after you eat your main meal.

Most of the player base has been APW geared for a long time, lol.

Yes, and I know many testers trying out that content. They don't want APW gear to be a pre-requisite for the PotA GROUP content. Any to test correctly, they start simple and start increasing the complexity with gear... APW gear has a lot of complexity and bonuses etc. As they continue, then they'll start to layer on guild hall bonuses, gear bonuses, permanent abililties, etc. Start simple, test from there. When the get to the 24-man PotA content then we'll be looking at the toughest content in game to date. |

24 Man Pantheon content is a WHILE off man. I was in the testing squad that helped pushed APW, and APW took over 7 months of 5-day-a-week testing to get out. And mind you this is with 7 devs working purely on it. I have been playing since end of Beta 2.5 and I'm a "hardcore" player. However my playtime has dwindled down to just when my guild raids. The reason SoD was just NOW completed is because most if not majority of the hardcore players didn't even bother with it (sorry faction grinds are a thing of the past). And again the alt arguement is what's killing the game. I should not be forced to make an alt so I don't pass the devs in content. And few guilds that have done all the raid content, this is maybe true. However they broken mobs so guilds don't kill them. That's cute. The game is based around the casual gamer and it has shown that they are continually drawing away the HC community. |

Ok, you are right. The only way to do things are that. First you have to do APW then you can do PotA. Dungeon no:1 then dungeon no:2 then dungeon no:3... Right... I mean thinking out of the box on that one was on the opposite side of hard on the scale. I'm so broke. I can't even pay attention. |

{Mod Edit} Lets make Dungeon 2 for people that has never been to Dungeon 1. People that has been in Dungeon 1 will find dungeon 2 too easy with worst gear then dungeon 1. So lets make new content for players that hasn't seen the rest of the game and screw the players that already done the game. {Mod Edit} |

You dont play the game do you. Vanguard is the only game ive ever rolled an alt in and I have 11 of them. And the reason is because in vanguard theres so much content that i didnt have to repeat the same content over and over on every alt. |

Livegamer is dead because you have one of the smallest communities of any mmo on the market. No demand, no supply. You're giving your "community" way too much credit. The silent majority doesn't give two shakes about rmt, and will hapily use it when it meets their needs. But hey you just go on believing about these supposedly high ideals your "community" has. If that makes you feel better about life than I'm all for it. |

Just to get back on track. LiveGamer is almost completely dead. Folks simply aren't going to use it. Furthermore, when the occassional odd-ball does try to advertise a character on the forums, that post is deleted by the board admins immediately. Once popped up yesterday and was immediately deleted. |
